Staff was absolutely wonderful very helpful and attentive only thing that let it down was the food costs compared to you what received was lacking in value for money£8.50 for a horseradish and beef sandwich was a bit much considering it was mainly horseradish with some beef that wasn't exactly filling the sandwich. Ploughman's without butter what's all that about.Sorry to say will not be revisiting

Excellent service and excellent value for money.Stayed here a number of times and despite the recent restrictions the staff are very upbeat and pleasant to stay with. Sadly no restaurant. A big loss. The food was always excellent. However, the sister restaurant at Burford house is virtually next door snd the food there is slso extremely good.....

Very kind, friendly staff. I love the pub downstairs and free breakfast! Wonderful and affordable stay for a few nights in Burford. Thank you so much.

Cosy little Inn with friendly staff. Rooms were not huge but clean and comfortable. Food was great

Really lovely ambiance & very relaxing though do arrive early or you’ll be shuttled across the road to their ‘sister’ pub ‘The Mermaid’. This feels more like a wine bar vibe. Pickled eggs, onions & Pie on offer for snacks. Being late December, they like to close at 10 midweek which is fine once you know it but can be slightly disconcerting if you don’t. I loved it and will be back

Okay but in need of a fresh lock of paint. Not worth £90 a night. Stayed before and have seen a difference

As soon as we arrived we were told that we would have to find elsewhere for an evening meal as the weren’t offering food. And we had to hunt for on street parking. We were very disappointed with our room, we felt as though we had been banished to an out house, that was very dark, tired and needed a refurbishment . Old grubby bathroom, with nasty grubby flooring. Very old tired almost falling to bits wardrobe. Grubby carpet. Cobwebs at the windows behind the old net curtains, comfy bed but a bit small. Breakfast was fine until it came to the veggie cooked, I asked for no tomatoes and a runny fried egg, ended up with an egg which was burnt under neath and Hard on top, and two tomatoes in the middle of the plate. The waitress asked me to take to tomatoes off and pop them on a plate. We were too embarrassed to complain and so left somewhat disconcerted at having to pay out £100. Not impressed. 🤨

Went here at the start of September as a birthday surprise from my friend. Amazing place. Staff were lovely and polite, all covid rules applied. Nice and clean room apart from a squeaky floor 🙃. Would definitely stay here again.

Lovely hotel right in the centre of Burford. Nice bar, friendly staff. The room was well equipped and spacious with a very comfy bed. No restaurant at the moment due to a kitchen refurb, if the breakfast is anything to go by the food will be good. No car park due to the creation of extra outdoor table space (during Covid?), slightly inconvenient but not the end of the world! Would have got 5 stars if the water pressure had been enough for the shower to work or to fill a bath in less than 30 mins 🤣.

We stayed for 1 night. Room was lovely and cosy with a very warm welcome from the staff. Apon arriving we were informed they were having issue with electricity tripping in some of the rooms.. and if it tripped to contact them. This happened several times. But they were very apologetic and gave us some drinks on the house. We found the menu to be very basic and not for everybody's tastes. Not a massive amount to choose from.Breakfast was really really good, sausages tasted amazing. Served with a smile and speed.Upon leaving we were given a little refund for the issue with electric in our room.Overall I would happily stay here again. Lovely little pub and very warm and friendly staff.Well done team pheasant. 👏
