The most delicious veggie food I have eaten in a long time. The chipotle cauliflower was so good!

Stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening. Both the food and service were extremely good! Highly recommended.

Lovely pub/hotel. Beautifully decorated characterful rooms, excellent food and friendly, welcoming service from staff who couldn’t do enough to make our stay a pleasure.Our second visit to the Highway. After recommending it to our family for a celebratory birthday meal and overnight stay for nine people, we were anxious that it wouldn’t disappoint - it certainly didn’t! Every one of our party commented on what a great time they’d had and that they’d be very happy to return in the future.Highly recommended.

Decent food, a bit bland for the cost and truffle chips too oily and with truffle salt not oil which is apparently undetectable to the taste buds. Cosy atmosphere and friendly staff. The mains we're good but didn't stand out for us.

Poor food experience there this evening. My partner ordered the fish pie and I ordered the steak. The fish pie did not have any fish in it at all and was just mashed potato with cheese on top (the table next to us also ordered the fish pie and had the same complaint), my steak was full or gristle. We sent both back and to the credit of the manager we were not charged but the dining experience was less that on par.

Stayed here for the night, lovley clean and very well decorated rooms, breakfast was really good in the morning, great quality ingredients and choice.All staff were friendly and welcoming throughout our stay.We also ate here in the evening, good food and excellent service. Highly recommended.

This is such a cozy pub! We ended up eating twice here during our 4 day stay at Bruern. The service is fantastic, good prices but the food is superb. I had the fish and chips both times it was that good. My son also had the kids fish and chips both times and daughter kids sausage and chips. The ambience is great and the window seats finished it perfectly. Would definitely come back here.

Excellent anniversary break at this great hotel in Burford. Friendly service, great food and rooms full of character. Hearty breakfasts are a welcome start to the day - everything you could ask for was available. The evening dinner menu is also full of choice and local produce, you won’t be disappointed.Very much enjoyed the experience - well done team.

Partner and I had lunch here yesterday - Chestnut & Mushroom Pie and a lovely steak - both with superb chips. Staff were always ready to help but generally stayed in the background - Not of interest to us but it was also dog friendly...
