The Horse and Radish in West Oxfordshire

Our family enjoyed dinner enormously. Ingredients were fresh and seasonal. Staff went above and beyond in welcome and attentiveness. We enjoyed meeting multiple family members, including a pair of sweet laboradors, for whom the pub is clearly a passion. Sunset view over the fields out back is exceptional. We only wish we were local and could/would return often.

Genuinely wonderful experience. Host was friendly and knowledgeable, and enhanced our time there. Beautiful views from the outdoor seating area too.

After having been to all the more well known places this week (Wild Rabbit, Daylesford etc) this week, I can honestly say this the best undiscovered gem out there. The food is as good as any pub / restaurant round here, and the atmosphere is very welcoming and friendly. Tom, the owner, is great company if you can meet him. Would give it 6 stars if we could, expecting this business to go places.

Went for Sunday lunch. Had an excellent meal and were very well looked after. This establishment is extremely well run. Would recommend very highly. Looking forward to return when I’m next in the area.

Had an amazing evening, the staff were lovely, welcoming and very knowledgeable. The atmosphere was lovely! The food was the best I've had out in a long time! I don't usually like lamb however i gave it a try and it was cooked so perfectly it completely changed my opinion on it! I would definitely recommend and come back again!

This is one of the best eateries we have experienced in the UK. Outstanding staff, service and an accommodating chef. As a family run business, their values and care are clear to see. We visited for dinner with friends last night and returned for a late lunch today and they kept the place open for us. Their chips are fabulous, the decor classy and overall I can't praise these guys highly enough. It's an exception not the rule these days to feel like such a valued customer. Thank you.

Super pub. We went for Christmas Day lunch - always a big test for a pub. We thought that the H&R maintained its pub atmosphere well while serving a substantial and sophisticated multi-course meal. The food was excellent, service was very good and there was a table entertainer also. Good range of beers. Well recommended.

The Horse and Radish is a cosy and thoughtfully decorated pub with antique furniture throughout. The staff are friendly and happy to help. The food is superb. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful service, nice settings and delicious honest dishes; many thanks to Andrew and waiter Pedro for a very enjoyable mid week evening meal.Still great after several lockdown and a pandemic. Thank God. Discovered their delicious woodfired pizzas this first weekend of August, yum yum. I'll be back!!😉🤩🤟

This is one of my favorite places now , the food is just amazing. It’s a quite place and honestly all the people that work there are like a family, very friendly, always come by and asked if everything was alright or if we liked the food . They didn’t rush us , plus they have an amazing view and they didn’t judge us for ordering 4 desserts. ( if you go there please you need to try the brownie)
