The Killingworth Castle in West Oxfordshire

Lovely pub, staff were extremely accommodating with great customer service. Only reason I am not giving a 5 out of 5 is unfortunately, their wine list was bit limited for me. 4 of the wines I prefer were not stocked. But that's just me being niggly. Would definitely recommend otherwise.

We had dinner here. Absolutely stunning food and service. Very creative food combinations, excellently executed. The staff were welcoming and gentle. The restaurant totally deserves its Michelin stars.

Portions are about as small as you'd expect for a Michelin star, but not really tasty enough to compensate for the price. The single slice of potato that accompanied my husband's duck was raw, and for some reason or other I vomited up the small slice of lamb I had. The waiter was not particularly friendly or polite - when asked questions about the dishes he said "It's written on the menu", and when we told him I threw up my whole dinner he simply said that they've sold loads of lamb without any issues and didn't offer any apology or compensation, or even sympathy like a normal human being. Would definitely not go back - we spent nearly £100 on a super average dinner and are stopping at McDonald's on the way home 👍🏼

A home from home. An extraordinary place with extraordinary beings from the moment you arrive you are looked after with warmth, care and attention. The food is incredible and it is created by Adam and outstanding executive chef who uses the best produce to create his dishes. It is rare to find vegan food that is created to such a high standard. Every dish was a journey and it melted in my mouth and the vegan Sunday lunch is one of the best in Oxfordshire. He is a master of his craft and elevates his dishes and himself further each day. Thank you every one for such an amazing stay, service and food, peaceful location and comfy rooms.

Spent 2 nights here and what a beautiful and welcoming pub. The rooms are cosy and very well finished (loved the wee complimentary sherry on arrival) with some unique touches. Bed was super comfy and linens pristine. We ate at the pub both evenings and the food was exceptional, v high standard yet in relaxed and cosy surroundings. Something we noted too... every member of staff we met (from owners / chef / bar and cleaning staff) were friendly and polite. We will def be back when visiting more of this beautiful country area.

Amazing food, the chocolate pudding was the best I’ve ever tried. Great wine selection, super friendly and helpful staff and a bed too good to get out of. What more do you want?!! Also Wootton is lovely and 10m drive from Blenheim Palace.

The food was absolutely stunning from the beautiful plates to the way it was displayed and also, most importantly, how it tasted!! There were enough veggie options for my in laws, which was a nice touch. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because we were sandwiched in to a small area with two other couples even though it was a quiet lunchtime. And one of the people working kept getting a few bits wrong, but really nothing that will stop me from coming back. Absolutely lovely.

Wonderful place to stay eat and drink.First class. We stayed in Room 8 which has a roll top bath in the bedroom plus a walk in shower room. Food is amazing.Staff couldn't do enough. Cannot recommend Killingworth highly enough.Can't wait to go back!

Celebrated my birthday here with my husband and a couple of friends. It was the perfect place for special occasions. The food is AMAZING. Really special food in the heart of Cotswolds! Staff was very friendly and helpful, the pub building itself is stunning! We will be returning for sure!
