The Pearl in West Oxfordshire

We wanted to hold an impromptu 21st birthday meal at The Pearl last week for three people, called Oliver up and he booked us in. I then went over to arrange some banners and balloons, and Sue helped to decorate the table for us.We had a fantastic meal as always from The Pearl, but had the restaurant to ourselves which seemed a bit odd as the takeaways were being collected regularly. It wasn't until afterwards that we realised the restaurant was normally closed on Sundays, and Oliver had opened the table specially for the 21st birthday.We can't thank The Pearl enough for their kindness, and would highly recommend it to everyone!

we had an excellent meal last night at the Pearl. service was great (surprisingly we were the only ones in the restaurant), The room was lovely, the host was a really nice chap and the food was brilliant. Highly recommended :-)

Over priced and food wasn't get cost £19.80 for king prawn rice with only 3 prawns in it and a duck and mushroom with hardly any duck take into account it was those normal size tubs which weren't very big

Excellent food!! Probably the best Chinese in the area, never had a bad takeaway from here. But always pre order due to how busy they get.

Excellent food, we really enjoyed our first takeaway from the Pearl. We will be back !!

Bank Holiday Sunday, great meal lovely service, wish we lived closer to return. Would love to go back.

The Pearl offers great Chinese food at fantastic prices. It is the best Chinese restaurant for many miles and has never disappointed. The staff are always incredibly friendly and welcoming, and we will certainly return

I've seen lots of people talking about the price of the meal. If you where to find a menu of this place about 5/10 years ago you'd see that a MAIN course on its own would cost about £10.50 (That's expensive for today), When you look at the menu TODAY, you'll find that it's £2.50 cheaper and priced at £8.00 ( I think it might be £8.50) but for business reason you could not ask for it to be cheaper ESPECIALLY when you take quality into consideration... I've been to the Chinese takeaway in Witney & Carterton and I can say this with confidence that The Pearl in Leafield has to be one of the best Chinese Restaurants & Takeaways I have been to locally! I can't believe that the owner is not recognised more for his amazing hospitality and great prices!

In the middle of nowhere but an absolute gem when it comes to Chinese food. The food is fantastic and I would be here every week if I lived closer. The guy who runs it is brilliant and very attentive. I would say that the atmosphere isn't great mainly due to the fact that there is no background music. They have got a jukebox but most of the time it is completely silent so my advice to the owner would be to have music on constantly and don't bother with the jukebox. As it gives a better atmosphere. Also Menus probably need a refresh to include everything they sell (like Chicken wings, which aren't on the menu) and a lot of the prices have been manually put in. These are all picky things, as for me it's all about the food, and this gets a 5 from me.
