Unfortunately we were a little disappointed with our stay here. My partner had the steak which tasted quite dry and tough. I had the lamb pie which wasn’t too horrible, however the vegetables weren’t exactly edible as they tasted as if they had been heated for 10 seconds in a microwave. The room wasn’t too bad. The bed was quite comfortable and the shower was nice (apart from the mould).

I loved this pub. We sat in the garden as the weather was lovely. There was just something about this place that I wished I lived there! Just beautiful building in beautiful surroundings with a great feel. Three members of our party were running 9kms of the Thames route and this was where they started and as we were meeting them at a different pub we didn't stay for food so I can't comment on their menu. I can say that their cappuccino was great which isn't always the case in my experience. Just a lovely pub and next time I'm visiting Surrey I'll make sure we pay The Rose a visit.

Booked up to celebrate retirement and a birthday with my extended family of 10. No problem at all. Thelady looking after us also took a family photo in the garden so we could remember the day. Food excellent as always and served in good time and hot. Shall certainly go again.

The setting can't be faulted. However, the food was mediocre and - even less forgiveable - was the attitude of the manager. My friend and I each had a large dog - mine an excitable puppy, and hers a reactive 2yo. We wanted to sit outside a little away from the main dining area but were told by the manager that we couldn't because "then everyone else would". As another party, with young children and a small dog, sat at the next table, mine immediately wanted to say hello and my friend's barked angrily. The party muttered and moved - exactly the situation we wanted to avoid. And then the same man came along with our food, plonked it down on the table, and walked away. He brought no cutlery, and no condiments - bear in mind that this was the main outside dining area. My friend went inside and asked where the cutlery was, and all he did was point. I've been there previously and found him very surly and arrogant. It was a first visit for my friend, and it will definitely be the last for both of us. This really took the shine off an otherwise pleasant day out.

We were looking for an location with a nice setting and a relaxing atmosphere to celebrate our wedding with a small wedding party. We have visited The Rose Revived over a number of years and it was at the top of our list. From making the the initial booking - for 16 guests - to the meal on the day the service and food were amazing. The menu and quality of the food was superb with a good choice. My wife and I are both vegetarians as were a number of our guests. The Vegan and Vegetarian choices were amongst the best we have seen.A special mention for Evie who looked after us exceptionally well all day and made the day for us. She remained calm and very supportive and remained very professionally when dealing with the last minute requests we gave her. She is a credit to the front of house service.

Popped in for a spot of lunch and we weren't disappointed. Amazing food, great service and we were seated by the French doors, which looked out over a sheltered garden area and lovely views of the river. We will be back.

We've not been to the Rose for a few years, we used to class it as a 'ping and ding' pub with a huge range of mediocre food.We took 3 9 year olds for tea last week. The staff were really polite and attentive, making sure that the children had a games sheet. There was something on the menu to suit everyone. Portion sizes were ideal and all in all we all had a great time. If you want a good meal, rather than a great one it is well worth a visit, fair considering the price though.

2 nights stay clean and comfortable room, very good breakfast, and evening meals excellent. Frendly staff and great views over River Thames.
