We went to the Swan for dinner on Saturday evening. The venue is really nice but the value was very poor. We had the ribs of the garden menu and it was £18 for just 2 strips of marinaded pork belly fat. Having said that the sides and pizza were good. In addition to this they forgot to put the food order through and got the bill wrong at the end. Really nice pub but some menu items are not good value and hopefully for the waiters sat was just an off day.

Went to have Sunday lunch today (5/6/22).Lovely setting, food on the whole lovely and lots of it.It was my Dad's birthday, we said "cheers" to him when our drinks arrived and despite us not telling for our reason to be there the waitress overheard and when she bought his dessert at the end of his meal she spontaneously added a candle and sang happy birthday to him.Would like to add....the waitress....Paige....absolutely lovely, very friendly and professional. An Asset to the business.

Staff talk too much to each other about business related things in the areas where patrons are. The manager was walking all around the bar area loudly discussing deliveries on the phone literally in front of my wife and I. We asked for a certain cocktail at 17.00 and were told nobody there knew how to make it! We had dinner booked for 20.00 but because we were staying there we went into the bar at 17.00 for drinks before dinner and we were constantly harassed by a member of staff, albeit nicely, to see if we wanted to eat earlier. Wouldn't take no for an answer and in the end we relented and went in at about 19.00. I hate being rushed. The included breakfast is a massively underwhelming 'continental' breakfast with the cooked breakfast coming in at an additional whopping £14pp! This is England. We eat bacon and eggs, not mini croissants for breakfast! They clearly put the bare minimum out so they can advertise as having breakfast included. A trick that feels particularly grievous when you go down expecting something and realise it's another £28 for two PLUS 12.5% service charge that they add onto EVERYTHING on departure. So £31.50 for two breakfasts. Simply didn't get them and just had coffee instead! Scandalous for a £162 per night stay. Plus we both had a bad night's sleep , which we both think is down to the room possibly being haunted. It was hot, then cold and we didn't say anything to each other until the morning when we both said the same thing. Like there was a bad energy in there. And I don't believe in that stuff. But it was weird we both felt it.UPDATE : To the manager. I'm not sure what there is to discuss. I've made my points perfectly clear here. You obviously have a staple response to the frankly, too many negative responses your place gets. Try listening to the constant complaints about charging for a cooked breakfast for example, and change it rather than trying to get involved in an email conversation. I'd rather do things publicly rather than 'behind closed doors so to speak.

Stayed one night to break up the journey from London to Cheshire. Booked the restaurant for dinner and sat by the fire. Perfect. Luc, the French manager, was very charming and spent time chatting to us. The room was well decorated and with a massive bed. Full English breakfast in the morning was a real treat and worth paying extra over the free buffet-style breakfast included in the B&B price. Would definitely go back.

Fab restaurant. Food is excellent, huge menu, staff were brilliant, great service, quality. The place is super cozy and lovely decorated, just what you expect from a great Cotswolds pub.We stayed indoors as it was cold, but has a beautiful outdoor area which I hope to try soon on a sunny day.Parking: few places at the restaurant, if not people park on the street (free) is a small village.Toilets were nice and clean, disabled access.Another exceptional note worth mentioning is their exquisite and clearly curated, wine, spirits, cocktails and overall alcoholic drink menu. I was surprised to see so many good wines listed.Prices are medium to high, this is top food quality and service totally worth it.Pub has a bar so you can also go for a drink, a half pint of local Hookie (Hook Norton Brewery) was £1.95, great price.100% recommended.Follow my instagram account at touring_and_roaming for more travel tips, mainly around Cotswolds.

3 ladies out to lunch to celebrate a mums 91st birthday. We were kindly and attentively looked after. The food was wonderful and the service brilliant. This is a friendly professional place where good food is served well by a team that takes real pride in looking after customers. We were surprised amd delighted by the birthday treat. The birthday girl in question had travelled over 50 miles for her lunch out and enjoyed every minute of the day. Thank you to everyone at the Swan.

My partner and I visited for a Sunday Roast as we did a day trip in the Cotswolds! We were so happy to drive all the way to this cosy country pub because it was one of the best pubs we've been to in the UK!I absolutely adore the open fire, the floral green wallpapers and the colour scheme. It's the type of pub that you want to stay in for many drinks and meals. It has a very homely vibe and the staff were very friendly and welcoming, unlike some other places we have been to.Recently, I had food poisoning at another pub that was meant to be rated highly for sunday roasts, you can check out my review on my profile and was very nervous to go for the Sunday Roast. It was too good to not order it, food smelt amazing and everyone was really happy with their food so I ordered the Roast Beef and it was perfection. Very generous slices of good-quality meat, plenty crispy roast potatoes and veg but the winner for me was the cauliflower cheese. Best cauliflower cheese ever! Unfortunately, we did not have any room for dessert despite sounding delicious! My partner ordered the Roast Pork with Toffee Apple sauce and the flavours were amazing - I the sauce brought the best out of the meat. We both really enjoyed our Roast and would visit again. I'd love to stay in the hotel for a couple of nights next time we're back in the Cotswolds!

The Swan: wow this is a pleasure to share this review. I visited this venue in December 2021 and wasn’t disappointed. The atmosphere was one I didn’t wish to leave. The team were superb. The greetings on arrival made me feel welcome and was comforting as well as joyful. The ambiance was quite simply perfect. The open fire was so relaxing providing me the calm and relaxation to reflect on life outside these warming and welcoming walls. The food is excellent all tastes and needs are catered and tended. Superb food. Care and attention to detail are second to none here. From the moment of entry the initial greeting and warm smile from a gentleman named Tiago to the welcome from the gentleman named Jaimee behind the bar, Luke, Bertie and Dan to name just a few of the team members along with the kitchen staff too: one feels at home and genuinely cared for. I was so content here that I visit weekly now, I’ve taken friends and business associates who also feel as I do: this venue and staff is and are “Outstanding”. Thank you.

We visited the Swan Inn this week for a celebratory event. Pitch perfect from beginning to end. I specifically chose this pub, as have long wanted to visit due to the design and interiors press about it. Did not disappoint. Stylish interiors and attention to aesthetics, cosy and charming. The fire was glowing, great music playing, good wine list and excellent food. There were some items unavailable, but did not hinder our options. We found ample vegetarian options. They certainly have an art for charbroiling. We had the loveliest service. Our server was attentive and also gave us space to enjoy our time. It was mid-day, mid-week, so a quiet, less pressured time in the pub. Loved it. Will be back again.

Sunday Roast. Highly recommend. Had the beef, cooked perfectly and served with plenty of potatoes, roasted veg, cauliflower cheese, red wine gravy etc etc. Good desserts options. Really busy but you could tell the food was fresh. Nice atmosphere, warm and inviting and very friendly staff.
