The White House in West Oxfordshire

Fantastic Sunday Roast, lovely selection of beers, smiling friendly faces and cosy ambience. I had the pork and was pleasantly surprised and mightily satisfied with this gorgeous plate.

Came in and asked for a table for 2 for lunch, told we can sit down and then order at the bar, but once we ordered drinks we were told you need to pre-order for food. By that time the drinks were already poured. I would have appreciated the heads up from entering the pub. Heard one of the older waiters shouting at the younger staff in the kitchen, almost having a nervous breakdown over nothing. .. not a nice experience at all...

Just wished I had taken some pictures but all I can say is wow, wow, wow. I had ham, eggs and chips but when it turned up, it was a pork steak with a duck egg, crushed minted peas and French fries. It was scrumptious, juicy and the best I have ever eaten. For dessert I had sticky toffee pudding and OMG, hot, tasted so amazing with the best toffee sauce and ice cream in a brandy snap.

Didn't eat but enjoyed a drink whilst taking a break from exploring Blenheim. Lovely pub and very good toilets.

Our waitress (I am sorry -I did not get her name) but she was SO friendly and helpful. We asked her many questions about the area, etc. The food was delicious!!!

Terridle steaks mine was burnt is some places and undercooked in others.The food was not to my standard for the price.If you want good food for cheaper go somewhere else unless you want bad food of lots of money.

Down to our local for live music ... 'Legends Rise', great rock covers band. Started the evening with a perfectly cooked steak. Well done to the team

We stopped by for lunch today and had the best burger we have had for a long time, really nicely presented and the service was quick and friendly. The staff were friendly and very welcoming. It was made a bit more special as just when our food arrived the music that was playing was our first dance at our wedding. Thank you for lovely lunch

Lovely village pub/restaurant. Staff couldn't do enough for us. Food was absolutely delicious New Chef I believe and he is certainly making his mark. My steak was cooked to perfection my husband has never had such delicious crispy batter on his fish. Great place book a table soon as I am sure word will spread quickly.

New ownership - as a community pub - has breathed new life into this place. The previous grumpy fellow has gone and this pub is so much the better for it. There's life here now, and fantastic food & drink!There's an excellent gin menu (my wife had the local Costwold gin this time) and I had the best malbec I've tasted ever. (I know that sounds like hyperbole, but trust me, it's worth tasting.)We ate a tuna steak and a burger - both tasty and well presented yet reasonably priced. There's lots to like here and we'll be back soon.
