The restaurant is shut. The number does not work when I tried to call. They should update there website that they are shut rather then saying open on Google. There was loads of post in the door so assuming they have been shut for some while. You are unable to book a table online. Save yourself the trip and disappointment. Its a shame as the food was excellent when I went in the previous year.

We ate at Diya last night for my stepsons birthday. The food was excellent, fresh ingredients and freshly cooked to order. The staff were very welcoming and made us feel at home. They even brought out a dessert on the house for my stepson, without prompting from us. We were very impressed and enjoyed our evening immensely, we will definitely go back again.

Up market Indian at the bottom end of Winchester. Food was very delicious,, beautiful to look at and well priced. Desserts were disappointing. Pre-made, frozen ice-cream.

I asked for spicy. They brought me a bowl of chilis. I got my spicy fix.Rice is extra though, which somewhat irked me.

Exsquisite food, service and wisdom. You will never taste curry cooked with greater authenticity, care and originality. The staff are a massive part of your evening. This is a restaurant to support, cherish and recommend with genuine enthusiasm. We love it!!@

Fantastic yummy food and great friendly atmosphere. We have never had a bad meal here. The meat is always favoursome and tender - cooked to perfection. The mixed mushrooms are devine. The naan bread and popodums are not greasy and tasty. And the staff are very friendly and attentive. We will be going again. Thanks for a great night.

Warm, welcoming service, could not have been more polite or attentive. Excellent food, some of the best Indian food we have eaten in the UK and by far the best in Winchester. Reasonable prices and comfortable ambiance. What's not to like, the Diya is definitely top of our list for our next Indian meal in the area.

I'm pretty sure this is the best Indian restaurant in Winchester. Food is delicious - consistently good, interesting, fresh. Staff are genuinely lovely and want ensure your experience is great. They happy to suggest and customise the menu as appropriate. Great place, nice decor, strongly recommended.

We had such a tremendous experience at Diya. Not only was the service impeccable but the food was incredible. The menu is inventive but respects the flavors and traditions of true Indian cuisine. You can find all the standards or try something new. The most challenging part was deciding which dish to choose. Thank you Diya! We will certainly be back.
