Popped in for lunch on the off chance. Had a superb jacket potato, freshly cooked. Nice friendly atmosphere

Amazing place, lived near it for years but never been to visit. Went in a few Sundays ago for a roast dinner and WOW! Great value, lovely food and mega sized portions. Totally brilliant!

Had an amazing meal here last week. Fantastic food great service and lovely atmosphere. Couldn't ask for more. This is the 4th time we've eaten here as we live 90 miles away! Looking forward to visiting again.

We stopped at the pub as we happened to pass it whilst looking for somewhere to eat. They were able to fit us in without a booking (just!) and we were so grateful!My husband and I ordered a baked Camembert to share followed by a roast and boy was it delicious!! Our son ordered a burger and it was delicious (kids never finish their plate do they!) and our daughter had the hake goujons which were also delicious! All the portions were very generous, even the kids meals!We also ordered a kir royal, Australian Shiraz and an ale, all delicious. The service was fantastic and the children were made to feel very welcome.We were on holiday so it’s unlikely we will be back but should we find ourselves back nearby we certainly will be returning! We had a lovely evening

We booked a table at short notice, the helpful waitress found us a place around the time we wanted. On arrival we were shown to a table for two which would have been sufficient for us both. However before we sat down we were shown a table suitable for four persons where we could have more room and in a better position. Food came out swiftly and it was hot and delicious. We haven't had a roast dinner as good as this for a long time. There was a great atmosphere, music loud enough to hear but low enough that we could have a conversation without difficulty. The staff are very friendly, welcoming, helpful and full of joyful spirit. Thanks to all the team for a beautiful evening. We are already planning our next visit.

Been here twice now with a colleague for lunch. Food really tasty and cater for gluten-free perfectly. Felt very safe with food and staff understood importance, making sure they wrote a note and telling chef directly. Fab prices for lunch too! Will come again.

One of my favourite pubs, friendly and good service today. Loved the new garden bar. A good menu choice. I've booked again to take other friends this week.

Good pub. Great food and service. Very good menu, with a good choice of starters, mains and desserts.Lunchtime visit on this occasion. What I really liked was hot food ( temperature ) served on hot plates. This is not the case in many places. If this standard of service is maintained, I would recommend it to anyone
