For my grandma's 79th birthday we had the Frieda's afternoon tea... They never asked us what sandwiches we wanted, so we got smoked salmon which only 3 of our party of 6 liked, and the coleslaw in the ham sandwiches was disliked by 4, the cheese and chutney sandwiches were missing, the pastries were missing too.The cakes we got we're all sponges, and tasteless...For £20 per person... We had three triangles of sandwich... (That's if you liked all the fillings) a small scone and 3 cubes of cake that were gritty and tasteless...For £120 for all 6 of us... NOT WORTH IT! Very disappointed...

Popped in to Frieda's tearoom a couple of times during a recent trip to Winchester. I had poached eggs and spinach on muffins for breakfast which was quite substantial. I later popped in to try the home made cakes. I had the carrot and almond which was delicious. Very friendly staff make you feel very welcome...highly recommended.

My wife and I had a wonderful breakfast at 'Frieda's' yesterday. We were welcomed with a lovely smile from Senem who served us attentively and with great charm, ably supported by Molly. The café has a very friendly atmosphere, the customers all talked and laughed with each other. A very refreshing experience in this day and age. We had the full English breakfast which arrived promptly, was hot, tasty and good value. The coffee was great too! All in all a fantastic little place tucked down a side street off the main road. Go and find it!

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon tea here. There was a great selection of homemade cakes and the scones were delicious, as was the loose leaf tea and hot chocolate. A very pleasant experience with friendly and helpful staff. Thank you 😊

We visited the tea room yesterday for a birthday Classic Afternoon Tea. This was our first visit and we were extremely impressed. Fresh food, well prepared plus friendly and helpful service. We shall return, without doubt.

Went on a trip to Winchester with my friends and came across this cute cafe along the way. Such a nice and cosy spot to sit and relax alongside a delicious piece of cake and a range of different types of tea. Incredibly kind, generous and lovely owners and staff. Thank you for a lovely experience and will definitely come back for the glutenfree brownies :)

Lovely tea room. Great food. Very accommodating with Gluten Free options. Thanks all.

Very cozy place, with nice decoration! The food was really good and the service was polite. The reason I am rating with 3 stars only is that they close at 5pm and we were finishing our coffee around 4h50pm and they started to say that they were closing, asking us to pay and making us feel a bit uncomfortable, since we were finishing our coffee and tea. We felt like they were saying "Get out of here!". It was a bit strange for us, but ok. We would be back (not close to 5pm anymore) because we really liked the food and the place.

It gets busy but when we visited i managed to get a table downstairs ( although there is seating upstairs). We loved the fact that the tea was tea-leaves and the chai tea I had was gorgeous. Lovely big doorstep sandwiches and the cakes on show looked to good to turn down.. when we entered it was busy and that's down to the tearooms popularity, definitely going here again when we're in town,😀👍

Great place. Staff were friendly. Had the best BLT ever!! Lots of food options. Food was amazing and the cakes too! Serve tea leafs the traditional way which tastes like a proper cup of tea. It's a small walk from the high street but definitely worth a visit. Will come back again when visiting Winchester.
