Horse & Groom in Winchester

Quiet , neighborhood pub food is decent and the staff courteous. Recommend in the area.

First visit to this lovely welcoming establishment today. Had a beautifully prepared and presented Trio Roast. Beer and wine served at the correct temp in clean glasses. Staff very friendly and helpful. The experience was unfortunately tainted by another customer and her unruly kids. The pub is dog friendly and we will certainly visit again, lovely place.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch today with our friends. Great food and drinks. Just a shame the family on the next table were quite loud and grumbling unnecessarily. We will be back.

Good pub, Mother's Day very busy for family lunches. Decent beer.

Friendly staff, good food although a more expensive than other nearby pubs. Live music on a Friday night with some really good bands

Great pub that does food. The sort of place you can quite easily just pop in for a drink and not feel as if you are obliged to eat. If you choose to, food was superb (sausage and mash). Friendly staff and comfy surroundings.

Just went in for a drink, lovely to have a wide choice of wine by glass offering. Very friendly lady who served us but restaurant looking a little tired and in need of a paint refresh but a wonderful atmosphere and comfortable seating

Staff were friendly and helpful and food was great. The actual premises were very rustic and cosy, just to bear in mind the only parking appears to be out the front on the main road, we found a space but I could imagine more difficult during busy periods. Made even better by Fullers 20% offer at the time. Would visit again if in the area.

Popped in without booking after a walk along the river. Great friendly service with really nice food. We all had roasts and weren’t disappointed. Will definitely be back

Nice pub and location. Good service, good food and a nice feel about the pub, particularly as it was in the run up to Christmas. Took a little longer to get the food than expected but they were short staffed. Because of this, had a main meal only, didn't order a desert. Can't really criticise the pub on this basis as service was still pleasant but as food was delayed and first visit, rated as 4 put of 5. Would have been 5 stars otherwise. Would definately go back.
