Long Barn Cafe in Winchester

Lovely place and the menu looked great. Unfortunately the man who served us was very rude and sarcastic. I have never complained at a restaurant before but all I can say is you will have a lovely meal and time there if you avoid the man.

Lovely cafe. Loved the lavender field. They had soaps and lotions. Clothes and books. Several on bike trails and hiking. An interesting little shop.

Such a lovely selection of every thing you could want , Candles , books , clothes , Jewellery, great food and Coffee. A great selection.of plants . Just pay them a visit you won't be disappointed .

Visited here whilst staying near by. Quite a small menu, lots of cake choices but everything we had was lovely. Especially the coffee which was nice and hot, and really tasty. Walked through shop part but only as a way to exit, so unsure what it sold, but everything looked classy, well made and a little bit different.

Have visited before for just tea and cake. Met my friend there last week as it half way for each of us.We met for lunch choice was Tomatoe Soup or a ham and cheese sandwich. Not much choice. My friend had to soup, I had the sandwich ham no cheese, the bread was really dry. Tea no milk, no sugar and no cutlery. We had to wait quite a while to attract someone's attention. It was absolutely freezing in there no. So we eat lunch with our coats on. Not a nice experience at all, we will not be back.

Extremely helpful and welcoming staff offering good service and tasty food, the lay out though is disappointing. We continue in this country to set out tables in regimental style with little regard for appearance or social comfort. A few restaurants have managed to accommodate customers in such a way that they don’t feel like a number, and while the rest of the retail area is set out with some thought, sadly the cafe is uninviting.

Meet up here about once a month with my girlies. Great food which reflects the seasons. Something for everyone and very pleasant and helpful staff. A terrific array of cards. My friend and I were laughing so much when reading them out, we attracted quite an audience. Hire us for increased sales! Beautifully displayed gifts, memorabilia and various clothes, throws etc - a tad expensive in my opinion. Otherwise, a convivial place to eat, drink and relax.

Love this space. Delicious food, superb staff. Lovely for some gift shopping from home to foods. Wheelchair friendly. Inside and outdoor seating. Cyclist and behaved dog friendly. What more could you ask for!

A great stop for a bite to eat in the cafe overlooking the lavenders. The cafe is very COVID19 secure with the staff well organised. It’s first come first serve for tables but it seemed like there was always a table free and not much of a wait for one while we were there from 11am onwards. Our server was a really nice gentleman that took an interest in us and made good conversation and the experience a positive one. I couldn’t recommend the carrot cake more, it was amazing! I would say though, plus £3 for a small plain scone, jam and butter did seem quite expensive, I’d expect at least 2 scones of that size for the price. Once you’ve finished eating and grabbing a coffee pop round to the barn shop. The shop is stocked with Long Barn on branded lavender infused products, clothing, homeware, food, gardening and lots more! I can’t visit and not buy anything. Overall I would definitely recommend a visit and hope to see the lavenders in bloom soon!

A quirky and interesting little garden centre with a nice cafe. Plenty of garden gifts and homewares too. When the weather is good there are great lavender beds to walk around and seating areas to stop and take in the surroundings. Well worth a visit!
