Palm Pan Asia in Winchester

Pretty standard British pretend to be Thai food restaurant with some Indonesian and Singapore style food on the menu.I won't go back. To be honest 3 is generous, why all the rave reviews is beyond me.

An excellent restaurant. We had a prawn pad Thai and some items off of the tapas menu.They were very tasty and presented very nicely.The staff were great and everything was done with a smile.We will definitely go back.

Absolutely fantastic evening. Four of us visited on Saturday night. We've received fantastic service and delicious food. Oyoyoy, was our lovely hostess, so friendly, charming and entertaining. The food had beautiful Thai flavours and the wine a great accompaniment. We will be back soon.

Visited for my wife's 50th but no recognition of the event from the restaurant even though it was on the reservation. The food was OK, not great and not overly warm. Service started well but had to attract attention for drinks orders and no dessert menu offered off coffees so paid the expensive bill and left. A decidely average experience. Feedback was sent via the email I was sent but the restaurant didn't reply so he's the Google review version. Definitely won't be rushing back unfortunately.

Food was fantastic and initial service was great. Seated quickly and initial drinks order was taken straight away. Service from there was slow, waited 20 minutes to be given a dessert menu after mains and then nothing, gave up and asked for bill, missing out on desserts and another bottle of wine but couldn't wait any longer.

It's been a while since we visited. The venue is the same, good presentation and professional staff.The food hinted at Asia but frankly bland to my taste.I had to suggest cleaning the toilets too, at 1800, that seems strange.Not sure I can recommend, especially if you have been to SE Asia.

Our visit here started off well but was disappointing overall. Starters were excellent - I had some delicious Thai fishcakes - but the mains were frankly terrible. I had a coconut breaded chicken with mango salad - consisting of an exceptionally dry and tough piece of chicken that could just have easily come from the frozen section of a supermarket, paired with unripe and flavourless mango. In a group of 6 only one person enjoyed their main course. Friendly and prompt service, just a shame the main courses were so awful.

Good food and service, even made food without salt for one of us (because of his heart). Tasty but small portions that were surprisingly filling. We were there at midday so it wasn't busy and food came quickly.
