Rick Stein in Winchester

Delightful dinner. Opened our fast at Rick Stein's seafood restaurant. We had to let the waitress know we needed about 15 minutes before we could order and she was so sweet, so interested in the whole fasting process and did everything she could to make us feel comfortable.Food was absolutely delicious. Especially recommend the Thai fishcakes as starter and the Cod for main course. Teas came with slices of fudge! A lovely night all round.

Fantastic service, great atmosphere and excellent food! Really attentive staff throughout our meal, a good selection of drinks and well prepared fresh seafood for starters and main course.

Found ourselves in Winchester just as lunch time rolled around. How lucky, there's a Rick Steins restaurant right there in front of us. The staff were friendly and professional and the food most enjoyable. Being lunch we each had just a starter. Both were perfect.

We had a great lunch as a birthday treat, lucky to get a table for a Tuesday lunch time and we were not disappointed, great service may servicing us. Loved the Tia curry smooth and nicely spicy, fish was great and the sweets a treat. It made here birthday and well done to the staff. Go go back there again.

I love this restaurant! The food is so good, always very well cooked and presented and you can see the quality of the ingredients. The ambience is great and the staff wonderful, very helpful and professional. I can certainly recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

Great experience here today.Food 4 out of 5. We had a seafood platter, and it was almost perfect, most of it was fresh and perfectly cooked. Some of it was a bit overcooked, and the mussel wasn't as fresh as I expect it to be.Service 5 out of 5. The server was very nice and friendly, made sure we had something to munch on while waiting for the main since it took longer than expected.Will try other hot food next time I am here.

Booked for our 5th Anniversary. Arrived slightly eariler than planned. We was told to take a seat outside for pre drinks and given a wonky table which they could not alleviate. Appetisers and starters were brought out rather quick. However, before our mains were served, i asked the waitress if she could recommend a white wine to go with the curry dish. She said she wouldn't but would ask the barman. Our mains arrived and nobody attended to us. I caught the eye of the waitress to ask her again and she said she would ask the supervisor. I didn't get any service right through my main meal and had to eat my delicious curry without a drink at all. Not even water.Memories are important. The food was superb but the service was despicable and totally spoilt our experience.The rest room was unclean and littered with toilet paper and I nearly walked out with some stuck to my shoe! Not a good indication for hygiene in the place.Rick, your meals are delicious but the service spoilt it for us.

Fantastic experience. Attentive and very polite waitresses. Ambience was nice, and the food was divine. Between us we had the Crab Linguine and Seafood Gratin. Both were phenomenal, but the seafood gratin came with caramelised apples, which I don’t think were really necessary. Might just be personal opinion here, but seemed like it was trying to be a bit too extra. Overall though, a great dining experience.
