Samuel's Rest in Winchester

Had a delicious Roast Dinner here ! The Staff were very friendly and I will return very soon. Excellent !

Nice old style pub with good home style food. Large portions. Left my wallet behind and the landlord actually got in his car to track us down to return it. Does not get much better. A return visit tomorrow I think

Fantastic food great portion sizes. I would recommend to anyone.

Drove to this pub on Thursday with my wife for lunch.waljed into the bar area at 12.55 and asked if they were doing food only to be told the kitchen had just closed because it was very quiet. Don't think this is a great advert for a pub when they advertise lunch time meals .v

Nice local pub. Home made food (large portions) and good selection of real ales. Worth a visit if you are in the area.

Fantastic pub , lovely jubbly food and plenty of it 😋. Highly recommended 👌

Great lil country pub absolute love visiting here when passing.. although the last time we visited the food quality had slipped there wasn't as much home made stuff and everything seem brought in.. but we had a great time and the customer service was great and my son absolutely loved his peas 😀

Came here with my family for a Sunday lunch and had a lovely time. Food was fresh, served quickly, and great value - the portions were huge! Staff were friendly and attentive.

Visited for a lunch meal and decided on the Venison burger and chunky chips, my Fiancée had the Lamb burger. Food was served very quickly, very generous portion size which neither of us could quite finish. Staff very good too.Nice peaceful location with a nice Garden. Only slight negative is the car park is for about 4 cars although there is some street parking.

Tried this pub as close to where we were staying and had some good reviews... Was not disappointed... Excellent staff, beer and awesome food. Had gourmet burger first visit, wife had the lasagne and boy had sausage and mash.. All good potions and great taste. Came back tonight and awesome again... Steak & Kidney pudding almost as good as my nan's (no one beating that) will definitely come here again when in area.
