Nice setting, friendly staff. 2 stars due to the fact I had 3 different waiters attending me so (stick to 1), on cleaning the table we were all sprayed with chemical (table has slats and we were all sprayed), burger not seasoned, pasta overcooked (al dente is how you cook it), dirty glasses (should check before), bill incorrect by over £20 (should be checked before, not everyone checks, nice try). Not overly impressed and wont be rushing back.

Lovely to visit the Brickmakers on a Monday, usually it is so busy you cannot hear yourself or your other diners! This meal was as normal very good with the ham hock terrine getting rave reviews from all 3 of us - lots of gutsy pork and spice/herb flavour. For the main course my mussels were excellent with a rich but not overpowering sauce, the met in the beef burger was thought to be exceptional, the string fries were cooked to perfection and the beef pie was generous with tender meat and a good thick sauce.Top this off with some excellent ale and what more could you want from a gastro pub.

I went on a Sunday, luckily we booked a few days in advance as it was very busy! Not overly impressed with the starter selection, (we had the salmon, it was ok), although this was possibly just for their Sunday menu (and in hindsight I probably didn’t need a starter, roast and dessert). The roast was great everything was cooked perfectly. The desserts we had were very nice (crumble and sticky toffee pudding). Staff couldn’t have been better, they were very busy but every time they walked past us they checked to make sure we were ok and didn’t need anything. Overall great place.

It's great options and food but the service time takes a while but the result is worth it.The staff are very nice and fun, the tents are decorated with lanterns and fires. While really fun to ride to in the spring/summer.I love the look of the inside and there is great heating. There is a huge choice of drinks with added extras such as lemons and ice-cubes!I would definitely come back.

Lovely Sunday Roast and delicious fresh dessert. The service was super friendly, shout out to Emma who was super helpful. My roast chicken was juicy and tender, potatoes were crispy and filling, veg cooked nicely and gravy was tasty, Yorkie was ok.Loved my chocolate cake with cherry sorbet and almonds!Definitely returning customer!Little note for management: the charge of over £14 for a cauli steak is very excessive. Please consider serving a nut roast for veggie eaters.

A lovely establishment! Can honestly say I’ve not seen such welcoming staff in a pub for years. Warmth from the moment we stepped in the door was outstanding. Lovely and clean, attentive service. Food was great too. Definitely recommend and will be back, for sure!

Our second time here for food and again, a great experience. This time it was for breakfast after dog- walking; llovely full English with fresh orange juice and bottomless strong, black coffee.Great food and surroundings but what really stands out is the quality of the staff - all of them friendly and attentive and efficient, not the kind of people you get everywhere.A bonus here is that they're happy to accept well- behaved dogs so Wilf, our reasonably- behaved beagle, had a great time - he didn't go short of snacks or attention! All in all a fine visit, and looking forward one day soon to visiting, sitting out in the beautiful covered garden area and just drinking!🙂

The waiter who had his genitals accidentally (?) grazed by my girlfriend gained a noticeable swagger. And that's fine. He was having a good afternoon. But when I show him the empty custard jug which arrived with my crumble, I expected more. I didn't give him a tip...

I don’t normally leave reviews but had a great experience here, and the service was really excellent. Lovely menu and the food was a cut above. Will definitely be back!

Best Sunday roast I’ve possibly ever had - the roast beef and veggies were not overcooked at all, and were in fact, cooked to perfection; great atmosphere and really great decor. The staff were very friendly and helpful. This has quickly become my top Sunday roast destination!
