Lovely staff and great food, it was a lovely sunny day and lovely to sit in the garden. Always a favourite

I honestly rarely leave negative reviews but I think the problem in this case is easy to rectify. We had at mid afternoon, 2 sausage rolls, a choc n banana bread pudding n a lemon drizzle cake..the bread pudding tasted very much like it had been left uncovered in a fridge for a long time..all moisture and flavour had evaporated..the pastry on the sausage roll was v dry too..I noticed a chef so trained staff were on site. This message is for him..keep your foid well and dont serve dry stale food. The place is airy and attractive and the staff were nice. The 2 points are for them.

Pleasant easy to visit... but limited menu... OK for a quick hot drink... really nice surroundings.. . Could be worse ..or could be so much better..

Lovely cafe serving a variety of beverages and cakes, snacks. Reasonably priced. All in the shadow of Winchester Cathedral. Well worth a visit!

Just came for cake and coffee before Evensong. Forgot about the Christmas Market, so not much left and very crowded. Managed to get a table, though, my friend and son had a cookie each and I had the last cake! Coffee delicious and while the staff were exhausted after a long day they were all absolutely lovely. They deserve 5 stars and then some!!

Sausage roll and salad was excellent and well priced. Make sure to note that extra seating is available in the dining room attached to the main cafe.

·

Busy, as Christmas Market was attracting lot's of people. Try to get a table away from automatic doors unless you like being cold. Staff did well, clean, quite quick service given busy time. Worth a visit.

Winchester Refectory really is a hidden gem in the heart of Winchester.Whenever I am back in Winchester I usually visit the Refectory.I had their homemade scones which were delicious.Unfortunately during lockdown they have painted all the walls which were displaying the notices about St Benedict and his Rule about the Benedictine welcome. Please see attached photos from previous visits.

Lovely venue. Had come here to meet a friend. We had two rounds of drinks and some food. Twice the coffee was cold. Queued and despite lots of staff only one was serving. The lady who appeared to be in charge was quite rude.

When visiting Winchester city and amongst other things, the Cathedral is a must see. With it’s cafe and gift shop a short walk from the Cathedral entrance. Its a nice cafe with plenty of seating both inside and outside other in the front courtyard or lovely little back garden below a beautiful weeping willow tree with lovely flowers in the boarders. We had a nice Winchester sausage roll made with stuffing and a cuppa to wash it down, very tasty. There is a good selection of food and drinks on offer. After our snack we had a browse around the Cathedral gift shop which is in this complex.Overall a very delightful experience and a great day out.👍
