We've been to this pub a few times because it's local. However we've come to the conclusion that the quality of the food doesn't justify the price; price is slightly above average but food is below average. Carvery is alright but everything else we've tried has been pretty disappointing. Staff and owners are lovely though and always make a huge fuss of our dog. I think it's just not the pub for us. I rated 2 stars but maybe that was harsh, I'll update to 3 stars.

Fantastic last Minute Decision - popped in to see if we could get a reservation..Yes Yes Yes- seated promptly, served, drinks cake straight away, followed by starters, and swiftly after we finished starters, main course arrived, with our 2nd round of drinks... Fabtastic service, & made to feel very welcome - can't wait to come again, with defo be our 1st choice to eat out - Thanks Again, for a lovely experience

Came here last Sunday for a carvery, we got first pick of the day and it was awsome, the building looks fantastic and is very welcoming. Roast potatoes were perfect 👌The staff were equally as great, all really nice, they were very welcoming and chilled, I really like their work ethic it's really friendly and genuine. Great work 👏

Always a pleasure to visit here, most recently on my birthday. Delightful food as always and it's always so flavoursome.Dog friendly too which is an added bonus, where they welcome them with a bowl of water and biscuits and if they are hungry you have the option to buy a special meal just for them.

One of the best, if not the best pub in Hampshire. Landlord and staff are top notch and very friendly going out of their way to make you feel welcome. Food is exceptional and fairly priced. Definitely one hostelry to return to

Got told off for bringing one “extra” for lunch and also warned not to come on a Sunday with a baby and buggie. It was a very quiet Wednesday and we were seated in a part well away from any other diners. Not a pleasant welcome when we were looking for a regular weekly venue for a family lunch. Safe to say we are seeking a more friendly venue to take our business. Not sure this venue can afford to turn away custom. We ventured to the Horse and Jockey down the road. A much better reception. They welcomed baby and buggy. The place was full of happy eaters, so will bd going back there.

Had an amazingly warm welcome today when 18 of my family along with 6 dogs visited after a lovely dog walk. The food was delicious and served very quickly. The staff were friendly and helpful. We will definitely visit again.

For me, the manager has transformed this pub and I love going now, whereas in previous years I was usually disappointed. There is a lovely atmosphere in the pub now, although I don't own a dog, I love how dog friendly it is, with loads of effort made for dogs even a menu! The food is much better now, and the staff are all incredibly friendly, the service is really good. This is now my favourite pub to eat in, love it!!

Had a delicious meal and pudding at the pub, booked just an hr before online. Staff were lovely, welcoming and helpful. We've booked for another family meal on Boxing Day.

Great pub for an evening visit. Friendly staff and good food. Well spaced tables and plenty of circulation space. Worth dropping in to sample the food.
