·

Very nice place... quaint with a little room for a game of pool, staff pleasent and food is lovely it's a shame they only do lunches but I would recommend this little place it's lovely, took my mother in law and family and they loved it too.

·

Great country pub ,beer was good and people were friendly was so nice to relax and get back to near normal

·

Lovely country pub. Standard prices for the area but service can be a little slow. May attribute this to the adjustment to COVID rules. Would recommend for a nice drink.

Disagree totally.Had three pints in their, first Amstel one smelt a little eggy, but exceptable, the second smelt awful, so sent it back.Third pint was a Carling, seemed ok & lively enough, but decided to go flat quite quickly.Speaking to other regulars, the general consensus is either the pipes to the beer need a well overdue clean, or the glass dishwasher needs a clean, to stop the glasses smelling of eggs, or both. The pub has a lot of loyal customers who keep coming back, but my opinion is it could be run so much better & cleaner, to give the customers a more enjoyable experience.

Quality boozer, quality staff, decent beer, good prices and always a great atmosphere. Top class effort all through lockdown helping the community and supporting those that needed help. Highly recommend.

·

Nice wee country pub, with a decent selection of drinks, including local Ales and Gins. Didn't eat any food but would say this is more of a drinking pub, seems livelier in the evenings.

This is a really nice pub I would recommend. The next time I visit I will be trying out there Sunday roast which IV heard you must book for in able to get a table as it is so popular! Pleasant staff and an open fire all add to the charm of this meeting place. A good sized car park and a garden with play area for the children to have plenty of fun in. Lots to offer, just a Shame they don't do breakfast menus. I think that would be a real hit!

Amazingly, in one week I've discovered 2 truly genuine old style British pubs. The Forest of Bere is the second one.Wonderful old world charm, superb choice of drinks...and although on this visit I only sampled the Abbott's, the menu looked both good and well priced.Staff were very friendly...has sports channels and is currently showing The Six Nations. Well worth a visit...and it's on a bus route should you have that option. I'll definitely be back again.
