What a lovely pub! Spacious, comfortable and characterful. Our roast dinner was delicious and the staff so welcoming and friendly. Definite repeat visit!

Visited today for Sunday roast, superb👌, cooked perfectly. Best crackling ever. Lemon posset & chocolate brownie utterly unctious. Lovely staff & ambience too. Thank you

Popped in and got one of the best pub lunches we've had for months. I had a well done steak (I know, dreadful practice) that was wonderfully done: nice and seared but still moist inside and my wife had the fish that she found tasted like it came from a much more expensive establishment. The triple cooked chips we both had were superlative. Nothing on the dessert menu took my fancy but, had I known that the cardamom rice pudding my wife had would be quite as delightful, I would have had that. The coffee I plumped for was nicer than normal for pub coffee, though.All in all, very impressed with the meal and service.

The members of staff are extremely welcoming and friendly.The place is extremely clean. I really liked how welcoming the members of staff were and they just took an interest in talking to people. They were just exceptionally kind.The prawns were really lovely. The menu stated that they were spicy, but the sauce was served on the plate, so one could flavour the prawns accordingly. The menu has lots of good choices.

We hadn't visited since September 2018 and believe that there has been a change of hands (well two actually). The two girls on front of house were polite, particularly our waitress! Sadly the food did not live up to our expectations. It was ok, but not a patch on what it used to be. Please remove or improve the Bang Bang Chicken as it was very bitter (burnt?). I hope it's just a case of trying new things out as we were told that the menu was new that day. We used to visit fairly frequently, but feel that there are better places within the Droxford, Exton and West Meon areas. And where have the board games gone?

This is under new management and they were closing just after we visited for a refurb. Simple pleasures in some good ale and a toasted wrap. V good. Look forward to the reopening.

On Tuesday of this week, we had a gathering of colleagues who used to work together ten years ago to celebrate Christmas. The food was lovely, and we will certainly be back! The staff couldn’t have been more helpful in the evening, and a big thank you must go to Beth for the help in the organisation and keeping us supplied with food and drink on the night…..

Very welcoming! Rooms were lovely and breakfast was yummy, all very worth it :) would definitely stay again if in the area!
