Food was good in this traditional country pub. A great selection of ciders as well as real ales and a good choice of food from bar snacks to a full 3-cpurse meal. Plenty of parking and a friendly welcome awaits you.

We were invited here by family for a Sunday dinner, roads approaching this pub are very very narrow but its well worth the anxiety I had whilst driving there. I had a roast beef and it was absolutely amazing. The gravy was full of flavour and the meat cooked perfectly. Lovely selection of vegetables with the roast and we also had a side of cauliflower cheese which tasted amazing. Best roast dinner I have had from a pub/restaurant. Staff were great, family friendly pub that have accessible toilets and baby changing and is also dog friendly! We will definitely be coming back soon!! Thank you for an amazing Sunday dinner!

This has always been an exemplary pub for as long as I can remember. Nice setting, unspoilt interior and some of the finest beer, served straight from the cask. Excellent boozer. Wish it were nearer to Warsash.

Nice rustic pub with a relaxed atmosphere. We had a lovely lamb shank Sunday roast followed by creme brulee. (One small criticism was that the vegetables were a little too al dente, but hardly the end of the world.)

Visited for lunch today and chose the beef and lentil stew from the specials board; it was utterly delicious. The Bowman is undoubtedly the best pub in the area and has consistently served great food throughout the pandemic. Nestling in the beautiful South Downs, it is the perfect escape for walking and a great pub experience.

We were fortunate to have found the pub after having missed out on trying to get something to eat at other pubs near by. We had just done a nine mile walk through the countryside and to say the least we had got covered in quite a bit of mud. The food was delicious and the staff were excellent, I would highly recommend the pub to family and friends.

Great pub - food is always delicious. And huge. Look at the size of my salad!The garden is large and perfect for children to run around in.Brilliant selection of beers too!
