I booked 3 rooms for a group of friends and we all enjoyed our stay. The rooms were beautifully put together with a good breakfast. The location of the hotel is very quaint set around a lovely old market square. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

This place is too good to share!!!! It's a wonderful old world tardis of a structure. You wander through and through till you come to a large conservatory and gardens. Pause for a moment and take time out from the world. We were there yesterday....a perfect English summer's day. The sun was shining, the bees were humming and we were drinking prosecco as an appetizer before our afternoon cream tea. It...was... perfect. Served with care and attentiveness, the sandwiches were fresh and crafted with artistry. The scones and clotted cream were perfect and the cakes were totally diet free!!!! I'm going again as soon as I've lost weight!!!! Thank you Old House!!!

This hotel and restaurant has just opened under new management so I took my mother there for a glass of wine Friday afternoon. The refurbishment is wonderful. There are cosey corners and lots of atmosphere. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive. Andy the owner introduced himself and showed us the newly decorated rooms and all thenew furnishings. So beautiful and tastefully done. I went back Sunday afternoon with a very close friend who also loved it. The staff again were a delight. We are always on the look out for classy quiet places to have a coffee or a glass of wine and catch up. Coffee shops and pubs just seem to be getting so incredibly noisy. Thanks Andy and the team. We look forward to trying out the stunning restaurant and possibly one of the rooms for a special occasion. Tracy, Mum and Gail

This is a great place and has only just been 're opened. Our room was clean, tidy and had a nice view overlooking the Wickham square. The bed was extremely comfortable. The Restraunt "Table 22" located in the hotel is lovley, great food at a fair price. This place has alot of potential as with any newly opened business there will always be teething problems. All of which can be easily corrected in time. All in all we had a good experience here and will definitely be returning in the future.

Booked this hotel for one night to be able to visit a favourite local venue for my husband's birthdayLovely hotel relaxing and our room was lovely albeit a steep climb upstairs to top floorUsual in room tea and coffee with added bottled water was much appreciated.Quiet hotel some road noise but not off putting.Good strong shower over a large corner bath was powerful and toiletries pleasant to use.Breakfast was 5 star. Good local produce on the full English both delicious and plentiful. Complimented by a selection of continental choices. Sat in the restaurants conservatory we enjoyed the view over the garden.Would recommend this hotel happily and if I venture that way again I would love to use their own welcoming Italian restaurant which offered a good priced menu.

Great cozy little place. Has everything you need in the rooms that are full of character.Staff are all friendly and the lady who serves breakfast is a little gem and couldn't do enough for us. The square it's on is interesting with pubs, shops, takeaways and resterants. Parking is a bit of a bind but not the end of the world.

Great little hotel; clean, cosy, and friendly. The breakfast was included and was delicious, better than the standard continental buffet. Staff were helpful and very dog-friendly, which is always appreciated. I would recommend to all without hesitation.

The room and shower was very nice. The breakfast was nice enough (the sausages were really tasty). My main complaint is that this place advertised Wifi on the Hotel website, however I could not even connect to it from my room using my phone or laptop (I was on the top floor). Otherwise it was nice enough.

Room was nice, comfortable bed and warm. The Wi-Fi was quite weak unfortunately and the shower was very poor in room 2. I don't know if it was a water pressure problem but I struggled to shower. Full English Breakfast was okay, toast was a little dry and one of my two poached eggs was fully cooked (fussy but the should be slightly runny at least). Host was very nice, polite and talkative upon checkout.
