The Plaice in Winchester

The best cod and chips that I have ever had, thoroughly enjoyed our Friday night treat.

Food was excellent staff were very very polite and well-mannered all round good service

The worst place ever as I had some chips from Stanmore and there much better from this place so I give this place a big fat 0 because you place is very selfish with the chips as I have seen the portions you give and it is an extra small it is so I won’t be coming back here again and I can see this place getting shut down for bad management as the staff is very rude they are

Very disappointing - portion size was very small despite asking for a large and paying more than I expected. I wanted to ask where the rest of my order was! I have had fish and chips in many places and this was by far the stingiest portion I’ve ever had. The fish batter was also quite soggy, chips were nice but there was literally only a handful of them. I won’t rush back.

By far the best fish n chips in Winchester. They are literally award winning to. Chris and co are friendly and welcoming. Support local business! A++++

The portion sizes are tiny. I questioned if the large chips really was a large, and was told it was. Nowhere near enough for 2 adults. The batter on the fish stuck to the wrapping, so I lost half my batter too. Fish was fine. Chips were ok.

Excellent Fish & Chips as well as other options, in my opinion the best !The facility is clean and tidy and bright.Highly recommend 👍

Food was nice but I bought large chips to share between 3 of us, based on other Fish and Chip shops I thought this would be more than enough for us. The chips fed the kids...none left for me! Portion sizes need to be addressed, very expensive considering it was only enough to feed 2 children and they are not big eaters.
