The Square By Coffee Lab in Winchester

Had a really delicious falafel salad and flat white here; best coffee I've had all holiday! Macha latte (pictured) is an acquired taste, but my daughter loved it...

I love Winchester and I love the Square by the Cathedral!The atmosphere is great. People sitting on the green outside the cathedral, which by the way, it's magnificent and well deserves a visit.Other people sitting outside the many cafes and restaurants that surround the green. Everybody so relaxed and such a good vibe.We were blessed with the weather and the Saturday afternoon sitting outside one of the many cafes watching the world go by, well, priceless!

Stopped late morning whilst out with the dog as they are pet friendly here. The coffee was smooth and had a great pattern on it. Treated myself to a little slice of heaven with the ginger cake - wow a lovely 15 minutes or so to recharge before a wander around Cathedral grounds and then home. Staff were really friendly and polite, they even brought Ollie out a bowl or water, much appreciated, will be back again soon :)

Freshly prepared bread, pastries, cakes and food, and the delicious soup was happily received by our body that day.The place itself was very central and lots of indoor as well as a heated outdoor area.However it could do with a pit more cleaning.

Pit stop brunch and what a find. Plenty of seating, friendly staff, fast service and if what we had to eat and drink was anything to go by great food.Smashed avocado with trout was fabulous.

Service was a bit unorganized, had to ask to bring the rest of our order then asked for the second set of cutlery -as was two of us but only one set was provided. Decent coffee and lovely baked goods. Will go back anyway.

Very nice place to eat and socially. I must say the coffee was really good, better than some of the more popular coffee shops. I for one will return. Keep up the good work.

We visited this cafe bistro by pure chance and we think the place is great. Quality food and drinks in a light airy indoor location. Outdoors was covered and heated but sadly for us full so we sat on the first floor with a window table overlooking the pedestrianised thoroughfare, very nice.

Service: 4 out of 5 since you have to order from the till, but personally I like it better since I don't have to wait for the bill at the end. Staff were excellent, polite, quick and food arrive promptly.Price: given the location I would say it is expensive but fair pricing.Food: 5 out of 5: great selection of food including vegetarian. Food arrived really quick and was nice and hot!, coffee latte was perfect.Will be back if I was to visit Winchester again.

I circled around town for a while looking for a good coffee and settled on this place.I ended up trying an iced matcha latte and it was stunning. I haven't had much better. These guys know how to prepare a good drink.It's also a Mexican restaurant in the evening which is both very cool, and very smart on their part.They get their pastries and bread from Winchester bakery, which couldn't be any more local unless they made it themselves (which I think would be unnecessary stress!). They also have some delicious looking cakes.Thanks guys for the great afternoon tea on the sun. It was glorious.
