Black Horse Pub in Windsor and Maidenhead

Friendly pub. Was very busy on Saturday night.

The staff are friendly and welcoming. The food was lovely

I've eaten here on numerous occasions. Trying something different everytime. Each time it was fantastic. Service brilliant with hospitality to match. The assistant manager is a credit to the establishment as is the chef. If you want great food and and drink in a real pub then this is the place. A great old English pub.

Didn't enjoy the visit, the pub is a strange old layout and doesn't feel inviting. Staff we spoke to were nice however.

Had the seafood platter, tasted like everything was cooked in the same oil, not complaining its pub grub and the staff was lovely

You would think that the basics for a pub would be to serve a decent pint. Sadly not. If you like a good old lager then this is the place to go (ish) if you want a pint of bitter (London Pride / Tribute currently) then this is sadly not the place to go unless you like pea soup. Interesting to listen to other locals complaining about how bad the Guinness is as well. The barman’s art of maintaining lines and a decent pint is dead and buried in the Black Horse. As a result it will go the same way as all other locals in the same area. When will they learn? Probably never 👎🏽

Small and friendly local, decent pub food, (with vegan options), and garden space available. Enjoyed our drinks here!

Great place. We didn't book, just turned up after a day at legoland and was seated in a large heated outdoor area which was perfect as there were 8 in our party.Food was lovely and extremely good value for money. Very friendly staff and quick service, would definitely recommend 👌

Good to be able to sit inside although plenty of outside seating under cover. Important we all support our local.

Newly refurbished, new management, friendly staff, good food.------------------The pub has just recently undergone a 1 month refurbishment and is now a chain pub.It's brighter inside, and neater, with a much more modern interior.After some initial teething problems, it seems to have settled down, and is generally busy again. The new staff have settled in and the new landlord is friendly.Just enjoyed a very nice meal. Didn't wait long, good quality sausages and mash. Hot and tasty.
