I have had this restaurant pinned on my maps to visit for some time and when I visited last Saturday I was somewhat disappointed, at the service mostly. The venue is lovely and nicely decorated. The food is presented well and I enjoyed the ambiance that it has on a warm sunny day. We dined outside. We witnessed diners being who were seated after us being served first, we waited so long that we started commenting on the wait time in conversation. When we were served our mains came before our drinks. I had to ask for a replacement fork as the one on the table was soiled. I had to request a spoon for the pasta. There were no other ancillary items on the table such as salt and pepper or other condiments were not offered. We were hugely disappointed with one of their mocktails and brought it to the attention of our waiter and an alternative was not offered. The roast salmon was nice but needed salt and pepper. The crab & prawn linguine lacked crab looked dry at first but tasty.Garden of Eden cocktail was sublime loved it. The pineapple and ginger mocktail was awful, mostly ginger beer and little pineapple syrup as explained by our waiter. All in all it was the service that let our experience down. I wouldn’t say I will not return, I just hope when I do I will have a better experience. 3stars

We had an amazing time at Browns, we had a tricky party with gluten free and dairy free amongst other allergies. Magdalena was absolutely awesome! So friendly and happy to answer any queries. A must whilst in Windsor!

2 stars for the location otherwise unfortunately the food was not up to scratch. We ordered the fish and chips and was shocked to see the smallest portion of fish (less than half what you get on a normal fish and chips). We wouldn’t mind the portion size if it tasted nice but unfortunately that was also poor. The only way to describe the fish was soggy and wet. Chips was nice.I don’t blame the waiters/waitresses really but the service was so slow.. my friend asked for Vinegar but by the time it arrived he had already finished his fish.. (4 bites max).We didn’t even mention the hair we found in my friends dish as we didn’t want it to be awkward. For price you pay it’s just not worth it. Sorry Browns. Must do better.

First time visiting Windsor and just passed this restaurant and brasserie by chance. So my overall feeling is Browns creates a fantastic illusion of something that it isn’t. Very bland starters that you wouldn’t write home about. Hard to get chips wrong, but yep.. they tasted like they were cooked the day before.1 portion (the ravioli) was so small we had to ask for some more in order to feel it was worth close to £15. The linguini was the same price, and more than double the size. It was sent back, and returned with salad leaves on top, and no more ravioli. The salad was as basic as it gets - absolutely not worth what they are charging.Dessert: brownie at the end was obviously pre-made, thrown in the oven so that when it cooled as you ate it, it became harder and harder to put the spoon through it.We understand it was busy, but we were waiting for AGES to order, and we only did when we flagged down a waiter. To conclude, we got out of there as quick as we could after telling the waiter to remove the optional service charge from the bill he just brandished upon us!My score card would be:Decor 5/5Service 2/5Food is 1/5

Excellent, accommodating service for mobility users. We almost walked past until a member of staff ran out to greet us and assured us the restaurant was accessible. They allowed us onto the outside space and set up the heating just for us (cold day!). Food was fantastic too. Will definitely be coming back :)

Pretty average here. Decent portions, nice enough decor, over priced food, staff ok. Not a lot more to say about the place.

Late lunch with a dear friend.Greeted with smiles 🙌🏾Really nice staff and service. Ordered sirloin steak, which was really nice and tasty. Served with dressed watercress and fries. For dessert, I enjoyed sticky toffee pudding, with ginger ice cream, salted seed granola. Now this was really nice. I seriously could have this twice. And that all important Americano coffee ☕.A pleasant afternoon, in a busy but relaxing setting.Thank you

Came in for afternoon tea on a rainy day. Despite being three hours early ( ) Magdalena and Grazyna pulled out a blinder and looked after us - delivering the sandwiches and cakes in next to no time. Good food and a perfect location for watching the swans begging for food from the many passers-by.
