Visited on bank holiday Monday with my French friends and family for lunch. The service was very friendly and efficient despite the crowd.Good selection of wines, we tried the red and the white. Went for the mains as we were delayed and famished. My beef bourginoine was very well cooked, flavoursome but slightly on the saltier side. The fillet steak was very good as was the salmon and the burgers. The creme brulee clearly beat the chocolate fondant, both were quite good.Would definitely be going there again and recommending them to friends

Wonderful staff, always welcoming and friendly. Food is great, presentation on point. Very nice atmosphere. So far have had the Cafe Rouge breakfast a few times and a very nice lunch. Looking forward to trying their afternoon tea soon. Congratulations to the staff for being so great.

Had afternoon tea here. Unfortunately it seemed like they were understaffed which affected the service. The only good thing about the location is that the 'outdoor' tables do have a roof (the station) and it's convenient if you are coming or going on a train. But it was cold, they say they have heaters but those are not at all the tables. No space to put bags or coats really and felt uncomfortable as members of the public were just walking through the tables despite not being guests at the restaurant.Food was average and menu was not clear about what choices you have for the afternoon tea. Atmosphere was that of a train station/shopping centre. I would come back if it were quieter and I was sitting inside and I would not choose the afternoon tea.

Place was in the old windsor train station. Such a great setting for an afternoon tea. Young girl served us was great, very attentive. Afternoon tea was nice, my eclair had no cream in it and i was disapointed that ots all bought in, nothing is made in house

Positives: good atmosphere, fast serviceNegatives: we ordered veggie breakfast and omelette. Nothing was sufficiently seasoned. Mushrooms and avocado tasted like they came out of canFinal verdict: we could have made better food at home

Lovely meal out with my daughter for lunch. We both had the mussels. Cooked amazingly. Great service. Everyone very attentive.

I had a wonderful lunch at Cafe Rouge with my two friends not too long ago and it was FANTASTIC. There were some things not available but the staff made us aware and were super helpful and friendly. Took our order and served the food very promptly, and the food was DELICIOUS! I had the garlic bread starter with a cheese omelette and I have to say it was the best omelette I've ever had. Well worth a visit!

French soup was lovely but there wasn't much cheese on top. The main Demi Poulet was very tasty and chicken was only tender in the inside. The skin was hard so I couldn't eat it, otherwise really nice with the salad and gravy.

I visited Windsor with my friend and we decided to have lunch at Cafe Rouge. I believe it was a great choice. The staff were very friendly and the outdoor seating was very nice. Although there really aren't a lot of vegetarian or vegan options on the menu, the one veggie option - the spicy chickpea burger - is absolutely delicious. I would definitely recommend coming here to try it even if you are not veggie.
