Clarence Brasserie & Tea Room in Windsor and Maidenhead

Well ! Where to start , this cafe actually looked nice as you left the castle , but once seated the staff were rushing you and rude , the waitress was particularly unpleasant and huffed and puffed as we changed our mind on the order. Food expensive 3 unimaginably small portion of chips (no salt or vinegar on table had to ask twice for that) 2 waters and a mango juice £26 ! That is of course, when they bought the bill after asking 3 times and waited 10 mins, never begrudged paying a service charge so much in my life , unless you enjoy paying to be insulted then perhaps it’s the cafe for you.

Had a lovely coffee and scone here. Not over priced, lovely fresh scone, great service, we were well looked after with 2 young children.

Charming old fashioned tea room and brasserie. Emergency pitstop at 4.30 on a weekday afternoon. Shown quickly to a table; wide choice of teas and home made cakes (no scones- it's a foreign joint); two shared between three just right and very nice too. Many savoury options also available. If ordering tea you will get a teapot(nice!) of hot water and a teabag on a sideplate. Ask 'em to put bag in pot before filling if you're fussy like me (it's a foreign joint..). It was still nice though.Service was prompt and friendly, the lavs were clean and available- 45 minutes well spent !

Very pleasant service and food. Nice outlook over the quaint cobbled lane. The fresh apple and elderflower drink was great and recommend. Think you will enjoy this establishment.

I loved the place..we were sitting outside...our order was served very quickly...attendants were very responsive. I liked the fact that they have all experienced staff who are very friendly and cordial. I would love to visit there again.

Stopped by just as it opened on the sunny bank holiday. Exceptionally friendly staff. I had afternoon tea for breakfast. They offer a wonderful afternoon tea. Cute tea sets. Wide variety of teas. The scones were warm which is always a plus!

We loved this little cafe! Such a warm and welcoming atmosphere as well as super friendly owner and workers. Of course, we went with afternoon tea and it was affordable and just delicious! If you are looking for a place to sit down and have lunch while taking in the beautiful sites of Windsor then this is the place for you!

After visiting Windsor castle, we walked into the adjacent town centre. Walked into this tea room and had a lovely lunch. The focus here is clearly on quality. Lovely pot of tea and a really well prepared and served sandwich. The people serving were so polite and friendly, lovely place.
