Great countryside pub. Stopped here for lunch after a walk and had a great burger. The classic looks of the pub and the open fireplace makes it even more authentic. The staff was very welcoming and friendly too.

The Bell had a staff shortage when we dropped in for lunch but the busy, multi-tasking staff were nevertheless extremely friendly and welcoming. We chose from a reduced menu but our meal was well presented, perfectly cooked and delicious. There was an open log fire to warm the pub and enhance the ambience. There were 4 cask ales on offer and those I tried were in excellent condition. If you're looking for a great English country pub experience you'll find it at The Bell at Waltham St Lawrence.

This is the best pub in Berkshire. A classic old Inn, with lovely friendly staff, excellent beer and great food at reasonable prices. You must give it a try.

Terrific, very old pub; claims to have been there since the 15th century. It is certainly old and in a very picturesque location next to a very old church in the village of Waltham St. Lawrence.Good selection of beers and welcoming staff. Worth a visit if you're in the area, but you'll have to drive so the chances of having a session are limited unless you're a local.

Little hidden gem of a pub this. Beautiful big garden with marquee that can cater for events such as weddings and parties. Great pub grub (highly recommend the burger with horseradish!) And a fabulous selection of craft beers all set within it's character-full 15th century setting. If you haven't been, you need to!

This pub is a classic village pub, very friendly. The staff are great. You have to try the Bambi burger, delicious πππ. First time I've been there and will definitely go back. Good selection of cask ciders as well

Super tasty Bambi burger & slow cooked lamb served by cheerful, friendly staff. All wrapped up in a cosy pub with open fires & great beer.

Small but organised village pub with a good cellar serving cracking ales, ciders and lagers plus a limited menu of high end grub. Lovely timber frame building revealing its history all around you (e.g. the snug little separate dining area just off the entrance lobby). Two log fires, a beer garden, dog friendly and charming staff. Good walks nearby around Waltham St Lawrence. Highly recommended.
