Last Sunday I visited this pub to have a salad from their menu which was nice but very dry and was missing either some mayo/olive or balsamic vinegar. I asked the floor waiter and than again bar waiter who said they don't have any of the above....I thought the service was very poor as having been working in alike environment I would never decline something that I knew was available in any kitchen's pub! Sadly, I won't be going back there again or recommend this pub to anyone.

Very good pub next to the Castle. It has some outside seating on the pebbles road looking at the castle, a good selection of beers and the food is always nice there. I'd recommend the pies

⭕️Well...first of all, the stuff which is working in there is very friendly😀, very helpful😃 and very kind😍. The food is like...pub food🙂, so I can't talk to much about it, but it delicious and tasty enough.😉

Visited on a Thursday night, the staff was very kind. Efficient service, ordered Ocean catch and the scampi was amazing. Will definitely visit again soon.

This place is unbelievable! As a sailor who's been around the work and eaten and drank at many establishments, this has to be the one of the best! Their homemade pies are absolutely outstanding! Highly recommended if you're in the area! Many beers on tap to quench your thrist after a long day of walking!

The information which was presented on the menu was informative and stated that William Nicholson, the founder of the pub, opened it in 1873.There were several places to sit and in different sections of the pub.The salmon was lovely and was a perfect portion. The food is served on an interesting-shaped plate, beautifully presented and the sauce was delicious. The potatoes were really nice.It is worth exploring the pub, especially downstairs which one should take the time to see as this is the first time that I have ever seen anything like that in such an establishment. The place was also very clean. The members of staff were attentive.***We attended this place again, namely in March 2022. I have the highest of praise for the members of staff. Firstly, I asked a member of staff about a menu item. She spoke to the Chef (whom I would also like to thank). She clearly knows what she is doing as she knew that not all cheeses are vegetarian. She also asked about allergies, which I thought showed initiative. The lovely woman with the multi-coloured hair was also there and she is just so kind and lovely!!!***

We were visiting Windsor for a couple of days & stumbled across this pub -- and how lucky we were. The staff are lovely (especially the guy who runs the place) & the food is superb. Prices are really reasonable. We were made so welcome here -- it's a special place.

Cutest castle pub!We were starving after going round the castle and the lovely manager man found a great table with cosy sofas and a fireplace. Saturday bar treats were in order so we ordered the Beef topped nachos and chips and cheesy garlic bread it was the best! I followed it up with hot apple pie and custard who knew you could still get that? But what made this place really special for the people running it, we won’t forget how welcome you made us

Great pubI visited Carpenters today with 5 members of my family, I had been here before, but never for a meal. I could not be happier with my visit, not only because of the tasty food, but the staff are amazing, they were so polite and friendly. They made you feel so welcome. Thank you for a pleasant experience, will see you soon.

We visited here for a drink after a long day in Windsor. The security from the castle recommended this classic pub so thought we would try it for ourselves. Such a lovely atmosphere in a proper authentic pub, with so much history. The owner and the locals were so friendly and welcoming. It was our last day in the lovely Windsor so we look forward to travelling here again. Would recommend 100%
