Pleasant and friendly pub not too far from the town centre.

Wonderful place to stop for a pint. The classic pub for a drink and watching the game.

A cosy community-owned pub. They get a local guy to set up a pizza oven on Fridays (since they don't do food) and local musicians come and play on some of the evenings. They have a quiz night and a meat raffle sponsored by a local independent butchers'.It's all very nice.

3 real ales and a couple of local craft beers . Nice patio garden and worth the 15 minute walk out of town for quality beers served in superb condition. Hence it regularly wins camra awards

Huge improvement since being taken over as a community pub which has been a massive turning point for the pub and the local community. The pub has been refreshed and has comfortable seating, the beer garden again has been refurbished. The beer is good with a wide selection and they have recently started to provide pub food. The location is slightly awkward in respect to a busy road but that maybe to its benefit as it feels like a rural pub which adds to its character.Well worth a visit, in fact i encourage it if for nothing else but to support a local asset.

Best beer I've had in ages. Excellent jazz band. Community owned pub, host and staff delightful. No food yet but only recently reopened so don't know if they've plans.Good honest no-frills local with nice people. Hope it thrives!
