The Duchess of Cambridge Pub in Windsor and Maidenhead

My friend took me here for the first time, was very impressed. From the outside it looks like a very high end restaurant but step inside and you find a friendly informal dinning experience. The staff were really helpful and service was quick. There's a large and varied menu with prices which were not too high considering the location.Food came quickly with good sized portions.Will definitely be visiting again to try something different.My only negative point was the toilets were looking a little tired and could have done with refurbishment.

Clean & plenty of room. It was quite quiet when we went (a Weds around 3pm). Staff were very friendly, helpful & the service was quick. The food was a good size portion, arrived hot & everyone was pleased with their choices.

We had the steak&ale pie and it was absolutely delicious. Considering the location and the price, the portion was bigger than we expected, and the quality was amazing. The staff was very friendly and polite. Thank you.

Had a Sunday Roast, Topside of Beef, Yorkshire Puddings, Roast Potatoes, Veg, Pig in Blanket and Gravy. The staff are amazing however the food was not noteworthy.

Decided to try this pub on a Saturday night for dinner because we were looking for a dog friendly and GF (gluten free options) restaurant. We did not have high expectations because it was a Saturday night (and being on the high street in Windsor) so assumed it would be busy and in our experience service tends to suffer at most places on a busy night. Hence we were pleasantly surprised by how attentive and friendly the staff were. We were seated right away and our dog was brought a bowl of water. Was very happy to have a gluten free options menu (as well as regular menu) in a pub. Our order was taken promptly and the food came out quickly. The servers checked on us and kept us informed when the kitchen was closing. Everything was presented well and tasted good and the ambience is very nice as well. Good find in Windsor!

Perfect spot for local fare. The fish and chips was crispy and delicious and the steak and ale pie is out of this world. Highly recommend!

Superb pub right opposite the castle. Ethan is possibly the friendliest waiter I've had (in a good way). Great service. Absolutely first class veg cheddar and mushroom burger (huge!) and beetroot burger.

Came in for deserts after being let down by another pub. Served by Nicki who is so friendly and super nice. Love this pub. Small garden but beautifully decorated. Will come again!
