The Fox and Castle in Windsor and Maidenhead

Traditional, oak beamed & cosy pub, selling cask, real ale & a range of home cooked meals.I had a couple of pints of Purity: Mad Goose & to eat I had a minted lamb suet pudding, with a selection of vegetables & gravy. Staff were friendly & helpful. Everything was just what I like in a pub!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to this lovely pub. A beautiful sunny day too which enabled us to enjoy the garden. Very friendly/helpful barman. Will definitely visit again and for food too.

Excellent staff. Would take members of my family there. Good selection of beer. Inspector Morse filmed an episode there. Smart casual dress code.

Attended the pub garden for a 90th celebration which had to be held outside due to immunosuppressed participants. The staff went out of there way to make us feel comfortable and gave a great service even though we were all the way down the garden.

The garden area is so very nice. The staff are lovely and very friendly. The food is great at very reasonable prices. Highly recommended.

The waitress was delightful and food came quick, plentiful, reasonably priced and a good standard for a pub. As always I have to find fault! Poor quality condiments which could have earned a fifth star.

Friendly, cosy country pub. Nice log fire going, obviously popular with the locals. Food was delicious, well cooked veg and not your standard menu. Will definitely be going back.

Visited as a pub just outside of Windsor and very impressed. Managed to go on a sunny Oct day and had lunch in a private gazebo.All the food was well cooked and tasty. Massive burger and excellent chunky chips, fish pie was packed full of fish and prawns with a large side of tasty veg and some of the best sweet potato fries.Will definitely visit again.

Service was excellent staff couldn't be more helpful. The food was a very pleasant surprise all four meal's looked and tasted amazing. we will be returning. The only down side was inconsiderate Adults group of 5 allowing 7 kids to run riot at other tables mostly unsupervised. We did feel the staff should of intervened.

Great food, polite staff, good environment all at a reasonable price. I would recommend this yet I unfortunately cannot visit too often.
