Oldy worldy pub right opposite the Castle. Great atmosphere. Didn't eat here this time but have before. Good menu, lots of choices.

Nice cozy pub, fantastic view but only downside its very pricey. £20 for two double Malibu and cokes. More expensive than london!

Great pub, good beer and staff always friendly. Amazingly close to Windsor Castle. Visited on a night in December when outside the band of the Household Cavalry was playing Christmas Carols attended by a throng of nearly 1000 residents.

So location is without a doubt convenient given proximity to Windsor castle. That’s the only thing that’s convenient though.Food is mediocre. And after having waited 45mins for our dessert - we left - with no dessert.Seriously give this a miss. Prices, food and service are infinitely better at other locations which are just as convenient.Utterly disappointing.

Nice little magical medieval pub looking out onto Windsor Castle. This is how pubs should be! What a magical position and building which made me feel like i had been transported back many years!The people inside were really nice and it had a warm cosy atmosphere. We only had drinks but it was christmas time so we had mulled wine and mulled cider. Lovely place and go to this instead of some of the bigger ones!

Closest pub to Windsor Castle and prices are set accordingly. Great view but if you’re outside you sit between the traffic barriers and the bin. On the evening I was in there was no food, but menu looks overpriced for generic fare. Selection of local ales and lone bartender was doing his best but not helped by dirty surroundings and no ice for the drinks.

We just stopped to have a drink at The hotse and the Groom ( and enjoyed some warming mulled wine!) and were pleased to find seating, a cosy atmosphere and friendly service. We didn't eat anything but the food looked and smelled good. Toilets were funky but smell a bit funny.

Nice hot spot in Windsor, if you are lucky you can find yourself a nice view from upstairs. Just ask the staff to see if are seats avaliable in upstairs room with a view. The food was nice, nice prices.
