Walking distance from home so that's a great start... best beer available on tap 'Neck Oil" so 100% worth a visit

I went in for a pint and I must say Harry is one of the best managers I have seen in a while, mad us feel very welcome, kev also makes the finest scotch eggs, will certainly be back for some more in the future.

I always enjoy eating here. I feel its more a pub with a good restaurant than a gastropub....in my view anyway. Great food and atmosphere.

We had a selection of small plates that were beautifully presented and packed with amazing flavour. Would highly recommend!

Comfortable country pub with a great selection of beers and spirts. Would definitely recommend getting food here. The sticky toffee pudding is the best you will EVER taste.

Lived down the river for years but never came here before last week. How annoying! Nice little seated area now following lockdown 3 and the lunch was excellent, great food, selection and portions. Can't wait to get back inside for a good pint but well done to the management, chefs and staff. We have recommended you to family and friends.

A Lovely FindThe Old Swan was recommended to us and we were keen to book for lunch when in the area.The decor is quite charming and there's also plenty of parking. Interesting choices on the menu and the food didn't disappoint either.Service was good and friendly without being intrusive. We'll almost certainly visit again and I would have no hesitation in recommending the place.

Stopped by the Swan Uppers for an early evening drink and maybe even some food whilst I was staying in Cookham recently. Place was quite busy when I arrived. Service was okay. Decided just to have one drink and skip food on this occasion. I will definitely come back at some point.Staying in Cookham again so I took the opportunity to revisit the Swan Uppers. Ordered a drink and sat at a table in the bar as I wanted to eat dinner here. Chose the calves liver and bacon with a side of tender stem broccoli. Food was served promptly after ordering and the presentation was very good. The liver was cooked to perfection and the smoked bacon complimented it wonderfully served on a bed of mash in a delicious shallot and red wine jus. The broccoli was cooked with garlic and chilli and maybe even some coriander which gave it a lovely Asian inspired flavour. So glad I had the opportunity to revisit and eat in a friendly, cosy and welcoming pub that serves fabulous food.
