The Royal Windsor Public House & Dining in Windsor and Maidenhead

Had a great evening, first time out in Windsor. Lovely pub and staff, especially Olivia, who made sure that when I lost my phone, she went the extra mile to find me on social media and tell me I had left it in the pub. So thank you Olivia for being a great person! I will be returning for another night soon 😌

A disastrous experience and even though location is great best give it a miss. Cold and insufficient roast beef not worth the hassle. Some staff quite rude and unfriendly. Went there on Fathers Day for roast. Were served sharer starter with main course and when we said we do not want them together staff were not happy. Took main course away and served same later and it was cold. Three beef roasts were a joke, see picture- they were thin slices of beef which would normally be to make a beef sandwich. All items were cold on the plate. When we questioned at the amount of roast beef, we were told they were short of roast beef. Well if you don’t have food then take it off the menu. The mousse dessert stated served with ice cream but served with custard, unbelievable. Overall not a great place to eat and one or two members of the staff badly need retraining . Be aware.

Great pub. Food was fantastic, they Steak and Ale pie was so good I had two. Patio is very nice and service was stellar. Shout out to Fionn and Gwyn on make the experience memorable

Lovely pub just underneath the castle, a really nice section which looks more like a restaurant, and another "pubby" section with screens showing football and tables for food. Very impressive decor, lovely food, average pub prices, only 1 option for kids roast - and it was very chewy beef - this would be my only criticism. Gorgeous looking pizzas!!!!

Nice enough spot. Appreciate the gardens. Very nice on this lovely day. Food was very nice, but portion sizes could've been better. Ladies who served us were lovely & food was served quickly. It wasn't busy tho so that would be expected.

Fabulous location, lovely ambiance, yummy food but really annoyingly poor service attitude especially the female staff. A little smile and attentiveness wont hurt. The loveliest service attitude is the staff with long hair, headband and wearing the stylish suspenders. Thank you for your cheerful demeanor and taking my cappuccino order.

Me and my family had a great time there.Manager and staff members were very polite and helpful. We really enjoyed our visit great food and drinks. Thank you and well done guys. Keep up with your good work. I definitely recommend this place to my friends and family. Thank you again.

My wife and I took a trip to Windsor and decided to go for lunch.After looking around for a while we saw The Royal Windsor Pub.We ordered the lamb 🐑 shank and veggies 🥦 🥗 🥕.A great presentation of food, very tasty & amazing hosts.Definitely a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Want food? Give this place a wide berth. A Caeser Salad, with grilled chicken breast. The chicken must have been cooked 6 times. A Chicken Schnitzel, also cooked beyond 3 times.Disgusting that food this bad can be served up.

Ordering food using the app is now the preferred way. Yet I prefer the personal service particularly as this was the first time I have been here(I definitely don't like paying in advance of receiving a service). We ordered the fish platter and the smoked salmon and pate was replaced with duck. We weren't told by the staff and we had to get moving so ate the duck and if we had been pescararians or had special dietary needs this could have posed a problem. So something for the establishment to be aware of. We couldn't find the children's menu easily either.In spite of this, we were happy with the overall quality, pleasant staff and good ambience. I would happily go again.
