Zizi in Windsor and Maidenhead

We went at about 2.30pm and they had no customers except for 1 table which we found a bit strange, then the manager informed us (without us mentioning anything) that they had no customers because the AC was broken, in fact it was very hot but no problem with that for us even on a heatwave.The staff was friendly and lovely but unfortunately most of the food was not as good. We ordered a chicken milanese and got a different chicken dish, they kindly replaced it but it tasted like these frozen escalopes you get in a supermarket, inedible. My little one wanted plain pasta, they brought brown pasta and had I known before it wasn’t normal “white” pasta I wouldn’t have ordered it for her. The fries never arrived, the caprese salad meant to be with bufalo mozzarella, tomatoes and avocado had no avocado and what seemed like a slice of mozzarella - luckily it tasted good but I mostly ordered it for the avocado (i know the traditional caprese is not with avocado but was on the menu!). The pizza and the garlic bread were nice, the calamari a big portion but again didn’t taste like food you expect in a restaurant. Maybe the chef had a bad day. We didn’t say much because we didn’t want to make a fuss and the staff was really nice but it was a very disappointing lunch for us food wise, sorry!

Zizzi Windsor. Good food and service but spoilt by the head chef swearing at one of the waitresses and bought her to tears after she got an incorrect order. He is loud and aggressive. I felt sorry for the girl. They are indeed under pressure on the hottest day of the year but there is NO excuse for poor behaviour. Won't be going to Zizzi again.

Amazing food, I love the pizza and starters. I wish of they can get halal certificated so I enjoy more options.

Lovely meal in Zizzi Windsor. Very busy in the restaurant and staff delivered a great service in specific Gonazalez. Friendly, efficient and helpful. Thank you #zizziwindsor

Before I even began my food the service has been absolutely amazing, we had a large party with dietary restrictions and they actually went to a different restaurant to get him his gluten free pizza base. They have gone over and above their call of duty. Even though we have yet to have a desserts the food has been fabulous

Lovely ambiance and right outside Windsor castle! Staff were friendly and food was great! 4stars as the menu was limited especially the desserts due to supply issues and what we could order. The desserts we had were a bit of a letdown.

Overall it was a great food experience with good service. Reasonably priced 3 course set menu with lots of options as well as a larger full menu. Some well made cocktails and varied wine menu. Would recommend stopping in.Great location within Windsor near the castle and train station.

The food is yummy, the service is very good and the waitresses are friendly. The price and the food portion is ok. The environment is nice and cosy.
