Balaka in Woking

Lee and LV are probably the rudest managers, they knew they had a menu error but refused to give us the refund and send us the wrong items. And refused to even look at their own menu to see the error they have. The chef was the only person who understood the mistake in the menu.Absolutely disgusted with the way lee and LV have spoken to us and treated their customers.

I realised I've ordered more takeaways from Balaka than anywhere else around Woking. They're not just good, they're consistently good.Fantastic range of curries with distinct flavours and ingredients, all absolutely on point. I have multiple "favourites", especially amongst the house specials.Be prepared to wait - delivery is usually advertised at 55 minutes - it's worth it.

I actually loved their dishes and customer service, great area to where I live. The employees are always helpful. Will come visit again.

This is a very good restaurant and takeaway. We ordered a meal from hear and was very pleased. We don't normally have Indian but thought we would have a meal from here, we enjoyed it so much we since had another meal since. You can order on line before the shop opens and they will confirm your order, you can pay then or pay when the your meal is delivered.

The food took an hour and a half to arrive. I ordered a king prawn masala but instead received a chicken masala (costed double) which I'm not happy about as I'm pescetarian. I ended up paying £15+ for a dish that actually cost half. The ponir cheese was nice but not as described on the menu. Masala sauce, onion bhajee and peshwaree naan were delicious.

Went here yesterday for a takeaway and received a lovely welcome. I ordered King Prawn Biriani and Chicken Dhansak. They were both delicious ! There were plenty of succulent king prawns in the biriani and the sauce in the Dhansak was lovely and authentic. I would highly recommend and will definitely visit again soon.

Best curry I have had in years. The chicken tikka biryani is really good and the lamb tikka shatkora is absolutely delicious. Looking forward to trying more dishes.

I've probably eaten in every curry house within ten miles of the Balaka. the food here is by far the tastiest and most varied. the Chicken naga is wonderful . The flavours are just so much better than anywhere else in the vicinity. Highly recommended.

My first time visiting this evening and all i can say is rubbish from start to finish, we were the only customers in the restaurant and the service was slow to say the least ! Our starters were of a poor quality and the sauces had a film sitting on top, not to mention our curries ! My korma was stodgy and cold and my partners was ridiculously hot with added chillies, our cheese naan bread tasted like a plain piece of dough! Thats £80 we will never get back ... needless to say we wont be returning in the future !

Balaka is a moderately priced (not cheap) Indian takeaway in Horsell that I have been ordering takeaway from for about two years.The curry and the food itself is usually fantastic. I stick to this place as I know that they do make quality, tasty curry that I really enjoy and have come back to time and time again.The reason I am not rating them 5 stars is because we have had a few issues in the past - e.g items missed from orders and problems with the 'buffet' (see another review) when going there to eat. The food also takes a while to arrive, usually 50minutes or so and can be on the cold side. It usually isn't an issue but they do have improvements to make to their service.
