Worst service we’ve ever experienced.We turned up on time (6pm seating for the Sunday buffet) and we’re left waiting for 35 minutes before someone came and took our drink order- after having to ask them twice if we could order drinks. after waiting another 25 minutes we were served the crispy duck which I can only describe looked like someone’s left overs, we were served what looked like the scraps of someone else’s meal- there was minimal meat on the plate- just crispy skin and fat and only enough for us (a table of 4) to have 1 small pancake each. The mixed starter came next (which should have been served first) this course was ok. We waited quite a while again after that for our mains to come out, and during this time (we’d been there about 2 hours by this time) other tables who arrived at the same time as us still hadn’t been served any food despite flagging the staff down on multiple occasions! Other tables were also waiting on drinks which they’d ordered around half an hour before with one table asking 3 times for their bottle of wine. Our mains arrived but we had to remind them what we had ordered which left half the dishes that they served first to go cold on the table as they only served us half our food. When we asked to order a few more dishes the lady tried to put us off by saying that the kitchen was busy so we would be waiting a long time. Baring in mind this was an all you can eat buffet there was an obvious impression that they wanted to serve as little food as possible to everyone. Also, not once were we asked if we wanted anymore drinks throughout the whole evening which is extremely poor. When we left the restaurant at half 8, the poor table opposite us had only just been served their starter 2.5hours are arriving (after seeing them complain at least twice) and they were then told that orders for the kitchen were closing shortly! I heard them say that they would just eat the starter and leave as they were so unhappy. Throughout the night all tables were looking round for anyone who worked there, it was honestly as if none of the staff knew what they were doing, it was apparent that everyone was appalled by how bad the service was. We paid, minus the service charge, and left and definitely won’t be returning.

The dishes are really delicious. We ordered four dishes but waited about an hour for the food tobe served. It’s a bit long but I can understand as today is Chinese spring festival. I particularly like the sea bass and garlic prawns. However, I think the price for sea bass is a bit high which is 28 pounds, but it is tasty. The price for prawns is fine which is 11 pounds. Overall, except the waiting time, everything is good. It’s a happy dining experience.

Sadly this place has gone downhill.. staff were really rude...and food was awful....we ordered ribs and we were given 1 each 🤔... Banana fritters were £4.60 but u had to pay extra for a scoop of ice cream....and to top it all off a large group on the table next to us were so loud ..we could not hear each other speak....the Beijing WAS my favourite restaurant...but I will not be returning!!!!!

Since the place has been taken over the service has gone down hill. Everything is rushed, you can’t have a conversation as the staff constantly ask you to place an order, and hover around you from the moment you sit down until you are ushered out the door.

We go here quite a bit and always have great service and superb food. Good menu, well priced, and the dishes are all individual in appearance and taste, rather than the generic bland food with some Chinese restaurants. 5 stars!

Visited for a catchup with a friend a few weeks ago, and the service was absolutely terrible. Staff huffed and puffed when we asked for water top ups, and when we asked for a few more pancakes for the duck we had left. It was very quiet this particular evening & they kept coming over to ask if we were done but it was to the point where it seemed they were trying to hurry us out. When it came to paying.. on the bottom of the bill, it said about paying the service charge at your own discretion.. as we thought the service was pretty bad we asked to take it off and were told we HAVE to pay it. When I pointed out on the receipt where it stated at the bottom it was said to be our choice, the lady swiped it away and said that was a printing fault. Won't be going back!!! Not impressed.

Hi We popped in on a Sunday for the eat all you like Buffet.This is cooked fresh as you order and served at the table.The food and service was outstanding having the food cooked fresh was really nice.You do pay a premium for this but it was so much better that the usual self service Buffet.The restaurant itself is large and roomy ideal for a party....can't wait for our next visit..

Best Chinese food. The atmosphere is excellent as well as the service. We love having family dinners here. Such a warm welcoming place and the food never disappoints! My 9 year old begs us to go here all the time. Love Beijing restaurant!

Extremely expensive £45 for 3 dishes and 1 rice, bland and definite stomach upsetter! Tried calling to complain next day, no answer. No contact form or email address via website. Spoke to someone today who told me I should have called on the day. Would not recommend and will not be using again. Only leaving one star due to having to select a star...

Great Chinese. We had travelled from East Midlands as good Chinese is hard to find. This meal was the best we have had for ages. The staff were great, the ambience lovely and would highly recommend it thank you again
