Frequently use Cote in Guildford and always happy. Second time we've eaten here in Woking and will probably not return a third time. Slow service, mistakes, lack of attention to detail, e.g. absolutely no trace of truffle or truffle oil on the fries (once they finally arrived after having been brought the wrong ones initially), etc. Was very quiet but sufficiently staffed - but no real effort by the staff in the kitchen or the restaurant. Overall, disappointing.

If you are looking for a well cooked and flavorful steak then I would give this place a miss. I order 2 large rib-eye steaks cooked to a medium. Mine came as medium although my daughters came as medium-rare. Neither steaks were seasoned well and both had a very bitter burnt taste to them. Also a Ribeye steak has a round squarish shape to it,, but these steak had 3 unnecessary cuts from the fat part at the center to the outta part of the steak making it look an odd shape. The only praise I can give is that I was not charged for my daughters meal as she couldn't eat it.

Nice place, good food .slow service. As most places at the moment as short staffed. But why let people walk when you can't cope with the booked people!!An hour from starter to mains! Far to long.Friendly staff though

Really disappointed with our meal this evening, had the cote de boeuf. Portion size was ridiculously small and left extremely hungry. 2 small sides plates to eat from for a main meal!? Child size portions if that. Given the bill was £70 for 2 of us I would have expected more. Service was not good, no one even cracked a smile. Men's toilet had no hand tissues at all. Disgusting. The quickest meal we have ever had and definitely will not return. Do not recommend at all.

We went here on Monday the 7th,The food was amazing however the service was less than poor. There was long waits for food to be served. We was seated at 6pm and got our starters close to 6:40 I understand wait times can be longer sometimes and that’s fine. I’ve spent 12 years running businesses in hospitality so I’m a little more sympathetic than most as I know the stresses under staff at busy times. However it was extremely busy. There was just poor waiters. One waiter walked passed our table several times staring out the window. Even when we had said excuse me he still walked passed staring out the window.30 minutes after our starters were cleared we received our mains and again. The food was great. We ordered more drinks. I had an old fashioned but as I was about to eat ordered a soft drink as I didn’t want to mix the flavours of my fish pie and old fashioned. The waiter took my half full old fashioned away. After we had finished our mains we was waiting for a while for our plates to be cleared. Getting more strapped for time we ordered desserts and asked for the bill at the same time.(When we had just finished our mains a table next to us was seated) they had received their mains and bill and had left before we had even got our desserts. As we had to leave (our show was starting at 8pm) it was now 7:55pm we got up, had managed to even walk out of the restaurant unnoticed. My friend stayed behind to pay the waiter. Who took the drinks off our bill for a “good will”However I really think this lets the brand down. The food is amazing and the service is not matching it’s only a half way success.Maybe it’s time to invest as much time into training the staff as much time is invested into the menu.

What can I say...amazing meal, amazing service! Tonight we booked for our 25th Anniversary and so glad we chose Cote. Thank you to the chef and thank you to the waiters. 1st class! Will ALWAYS recommend. 👍🙏😆

Amazing food, friendly service. Staff was very polite. The atmosphere was fantastic. We had white bait for starter and grilled sea bass for main. Both beautifully presented, excellent quality and very delicious! Also ordered a latte, which was of high quality. Highly recommend. Will be back again soon!

Very accomodating staff. Nice decor. Good outdoor area. Not too expensive and plenty choice for food and drinks. Children's menu also available. Can't go wrong with Cote.

The service was amazing, friendly staff. Followed the Covid rules. The mussels were a bit of a let down. But everything else was amazing
