East West Restaurant in Woking

Had many takeaways from here and always loved them. Recently the food hasn’t been great and seems to always be cold or soggy. On multiple occasions items have been missing.

Worst Indian takeaway I have ever had.. Ordered the tandoori mixed grill that was so dry and overcooked it was difficult to swallow.. and a king prawn dhansak which was little more than a very waterery Tarka dhal with a few very small clearly frozen prawns . It had No flavour and No spice .. dhansak is meant to be rich and spicy lentils with meat or prawn .. this was horrendous..I won't be going back ...

We've used East West as our go to Indian takeaway for a number of years now. I would usually offer huge praise but however our most recent experience wasn't a good one. We ordered online as we usually do after around 50 minutes our food arrived (well most of it) my curry dish was missing but everything else we had ordered arrived (warm and not hot) we had to call get the drivers attention who them called the restaurant about the missing curry. I was offered a refund or he could go and get it. Considering i had ordered a curry, it was my intention to have one. I was left waiting a further 30 minutes for my curry, by the time mine arrived my partner had finished hers and I had to reheat the rice. No apology for the misplaced curry and the driver just knocked on the door left it on the doorstep and walked off. Poor service on this occasion.

We have been to this restaurant many times and their other restaurant and had many takeaways and have been doing so for nearly 6 yrs, however so dissatisfied this time and will not be using it again our meal took an hour and a half, it was stone cold and missing the rice, when I rang I was told someone would ring me back when they did I asked for an refund as the food was disgusting and cold I was told no refunds would be given and they would try and do something next time I ordered. Needless to say I will not be using this restaurant again. Very disappointed

Food was absolutely delicious, good value for money, the only down side was the service when I went was we were waiting ages to be offered a second drink and also to try to pay and go. The men just weren't looking at us at all, we didn't want to be rude and call to them so we just waited patiently.

From our go to Indian to our not going to again Indian.The reason that they got 2 stars was because the food is lovely.That being said, tonight it took almost an hour and a half to receive our order. The order was missing an item and was cold when it arrived. The chap I spoke to was less than helpful about the missing meal (Kids corma and rice) and told me to use Uber eats to get a refund.We wanted Indian take out so we didn't need to cook after a stressful day, having received a family bereavement. This added to our stresses and cemented the fact we'll no longer he supporting this business.

I've no idea how the food is....I ordered over an hour ago, food was due 30 minutes ago, despite numerous chasing, it's still not here. A tonne of other great Indian restaurants in our area... stick with what you know, don't get these guys!!

Really enjoyed my meal, went on the spur of the moment, wanted to go out before lockdown. Close to where I work. They kindly fitted us in, not enough staff but they did the best they could. Parking is a bit tricky and tight. Hence the 4 stars. Will cheerfully go there again.

A very enjoyable experience in all.I began my visit with the presupposition that the Indian restaurant I will be dining in, is the best in town. This was due to the advice I received from friends who visit regularly; often when moving to a new area, my first inquisition is the local Indian, I'm a big fan!I was not let down! I entered a very pretty, cosy and relaxing restaurant with the greeting of a friendly smile. After being seated, I was served with no prompt or delay.The menu was that of individuality and uniqueness. As a vegetarian I was pleased to see such a great selection and varied choice. The portions were pleasant and sufficient but no match to the quality of cooking and presentation. I really enjoyed everything I ordered and I cannot wait to try the other dishes!Overall, at a moderate price, expect to be awed by fantastic dishes and unforgettable hospitality. At the end of my meal I was thanked for my company and granted a drink 'on the house'. Such a veritable gentlemen is known to me now as Ronny.I very much look forward to a repetition of satisfying experiences over my next visits.Thank you for reading. ~Adam
