Quick service. Friendly staff and a nice place. Really enjoyed this history about HG Wells around the pub too. Recommended Wetherspoons.

Nice big lively Spoons. Usual friendly staff. Spoons prices. Real ale festival on with a good range. What's not to like. Also pleased to see the manager gently ejecting someone who although not troublesome was very much the worse for wear.

Had a wonderful evening, the food was delicious, the staff were friendly and efficient, our meals were served very quickly, the selection of ales was great. After not being out for a long time due to Covid, we had a very enjoyable time and value for money. Well done all at wetherspoons first class in every way thank you.

Very well run Spoons, all on one floor (including the loos!) good bar and food service, plenty of seating for groups of all sizes, good mix of punters, family friendly during the day but staff not tolerant of loose children.

·

All fine, friendly staff, clean pub, ridiculously low prices as usual. Good breakfast, comfortable surroundings and numerous real ales. Would happily recommend.

Not bad. Very big and spacious inside. Met friends for breakfast. The breakfast menu is a bit limited IMO, but it is a pub. Orders happen over your mobile phone.

An entire drink was split over me by a member of staff. Granted, it was an accident, we all make mistakes, but this was over a new pair of Jeans. I went to the Bar to explain the situation and they advised it was not their fault and their was 'nothing they can do' - the member of staff walked away and left me standing alone like a lost child..After this, I then went to a bouncer to ask the terms and conditions of the company regarding a spilt drink via a member of staff and he said that because it wasn't intentional, there was nothing he could do. Bare is mind, the waitress that split this drink didn't even so happen to apologise - she just walked away.I appreciate that accidents happen, but 2 members of staff threatened to kick me out (even though I was being civalised and non-aggresive) due to standing up for some form of compensation - a drink or £3 is all I asked, but clearly that was too much. I was made to feel like a fool.Overall, not impressed and was disappointed to find out the manager was not in on this occasion - customer service needs addressing as it was appalling tonight..

I came here a few times when working away in Woking. They had the eat out to help out deal on at the time the 3 plates for £10 is good. Recommend getting that if your not sure what you want to eat. I also recommend the breakfast as well

Always know what you're getting with Wetherspoons. Food standard pub fare, good value. Only problem can be that it can be hard to get served at times. I'm guessing because it's popular and crowded.

Another nice meal at the Herbert Wells. We ordered through the app and it came incredibly fast. Service was good and we enjoyed our meal. The app allows you to order drinks and food right from your phone easily.
