Amazing, authentic Indian food. Having grown up in India, it has been a complain of mine that a lot of Indian restaurants are not authentic in Wokingham/Reading area but Dastarkhwan hits the spot. Saurabh is amazing to talk to as well and gives his recommendations which I have found to be even better than the rest.Highly recommend.

We always order take away or delivery from Dastarkhwan. The food is so different and high quality compared to most other Indian restaurants or takeaways. The taste and the menu is so authentic that always makes us come back. Saurabh always takes into consideration our special requests and make sure our needs are met. There is a personal touch to each order and we are very happy to have found Dastarkhwan 😊

We ordered from Saurabh last week for a meal for 6 people. The food was absolutely authentic and scrumptious - especially the Chicken biryani - which was just like you’d get in India at a five star restaurant! We will definitely be ordering again.

We made our first food order for the family on the Christmas eve from Dastarkhwan. Saurabh was friendly, provided good suggestions and found him cool when we met him on our food collection time. The food was packaged very well, each with an 'Allergy' note and spill proof packs. Once opened these packs transported us to the land of many tastes (India). The shammi kebabs went as smooth as a silk with the chutney accompaniment, chicken 65 was a flavour bounty and chops oozed the taste from the valley. Gangtok rice took us on the hills and the butter chicken stayed on our fingers long after dish was mopped up by the soft parathas. The biryanis (both chicken and lamb) had plenty of meat and the flavours are unique. If you want to taste the 'food from India' (unlike 'Indian' food from most of the UK establishments) you (and us) now know the destination. Best wishes to Saurabh and his team.

Ordered last night for the first time and we really enjoyed the food. All the dishes were outstanding, the service professional and the owner was friendly and helpful. Undoubtedly the best Indian food we have ever had, would definitely recommend it.

Ordered super delicious dinner tonight from Dastarkhwan and must admit that it was at par with the food served in best restaurants in India I have ever had. The meat was so fresh, could tell was premium quality. The taste was original of fresh ingredients. No added colors or flavours. The starters, mains everything was so tasty, so rich. We all loved it. Our meal was absolutely delicious! The best curry I have had in a very long time. Spicing was perfect, service exceptional. We will definitely be ordering again soon.

Absolutely wonderful food, I couldn't recommend Dastarkhwan enough! Truly authentic cooking and far better than any Indian takeaway you'll get anywhere else. Generous portions too! When I found Dastarkhwan, I knew I had to try it, and I was not disappointed. Although it's over 40 minutes from where I live, I'll be coming back again and again, a testament to the food! The very fact you need to preorder shows the time and care that goes into serving real food, not fast food like most places do. We recently ordered some food from Dastarkhwan and were absolutely delighted with the food and the service. I have been to several so-called 'Indian' restaurants or take-aways and have been disappointed with the food in most cases, but Dastarkhwan has lived up to its reputation and serves very authentic, traditional Indian food. My favourite dish was the Awadi Chicken Biryani and the Hyderabadi Mutton Biryani. Saurabh goes out of his way to accommodate requests. I cannot recommend Dastarkhwan highly enough and will definitely be ordering again..and again !
