Very nice spot to spend an afternoon there. The Café is sweet though the waiter who took our order properly had a bad day 😉

Even on a rainy day, post Eunice winds, it was a nice venue with the car park nearby for easy access. Good and drink are lovely and fairly priced with friendly staff. Nice fire in the corner was an added bonus. Too often overlooked as it's on our doorstep and should visit more often.

Although very busy. There wasn't enough tables for two people. Large tables taken up by couple leaving seat empty but unable to sit down to eat. You need a good selection of both large small and couple tables. We left in the end without buying anything as simple no tables free for a couple. It didn't feel right sitting on a table for 6 with just 2 people. Please provide more tables and chairs

Ok breakfast. Lots of space. Not busy when we were there but drinks delayed and then served in paper cups as they were out of mugs! A good meeting point but not much atmosphere.

Park is lovely but the café....I paid £3.50 for 1/3 cup of kids hot chocolate. That's not right. £1.5 for a Babycino size hot chocolate £1 for a little splash of cream and £0.50 for Marshmellows That would be ok for a full cup I guess....not 1/3

Good coffee and food looks good, the only thing was service seems very disorganised and delay once paid for coffee as either not enough staff or the coffee machine is not right for the volume of people. Good area outside for kids to burn energy

Nice to have a cafe at California Country park but blimey its a long queue and expensive too. We had four cans, two teas in disposable cups, two cakes, two brownies, and four chips - two with cheese. Super expensive!!! The 4 cans came to 4.50!! Just be aware when you visit that its a lot to buy from here. As well as the parking too.New Park however is great so thumbs up to that only.

We are somewhat of a captive audience and that's probably a good thing because they wouldn't really hold up against competition. The place is grubby and with zero atmosphere. Service (for hot drinks) is ridiculously slow and a tiny piece of (albeit delicious) brownie was £3, which is a lot I think.I could tell the guy at the till had had a long day, grumpy. The bearded guy is always lovely and friendly though, he seems great.

First time visiting the Cafe and on a Sunday. The place is popular as it's a captive market what with the new playground. The cafe itself could do with a bit of a make over and a good clean. Tables were cleared quickly but some chairs and tables were left covered with crumbs. This is not helped by some of the natural wooden tables with lots of gaps. The toilets need a compete refurb and were a bit of a state with a single ancient hand dryer. The queue was at the door when we arrived and only after we had been waiting over 30 mins did I hear there was a 45min wait for food. Luckily I wasn't in a hurry but it meant I had consumed my drink way before my food had arrived. Kids meals were ok but my Nachos were a real surprise and came out piping hot, fresh, tasty and of an ample portion size. Yes it's noisy as others have commented but that's just children having fun.

A most unpleasant bank holiday experience! Was hoping for an enjoyable lunch whilst exploring the park, however after finding seating amongst what felt a manic atmosphere was dismayed at what was dawning on us. The noise from crowds of shouting & screaming kids was unbearable and far worse in volume than the previous days visit we made to a seaside fun park/theme park! The prices on the menu equated to those of what you would pay for at a decent pub and considered that paying over £30 for a lunch for the two of us amongst this mayhem would not be justified. Decided to downgraded to coffee & cake only then to find a long slow moving queue and very limited selection of cakes, which only hastened our exit from the cauldron of noise! Not recommended unless you enjoy being amongst bedlam of noisy kids!
