Loch Fyne - Wokingham in Wokingham

Really great layout inside , no one was crammed in next to anyone else - which is rare these days.Polite and friendly service through our visit and good seafood - it delivers what it promises, a seafood restaurant - it’s not fine dining and it’s not a fast food … but the family loved it!

Just been to Loch Fyne in Wokingham with hubby and we felt compelled to write this review. Go and eat there. You will not regret it! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING FANTASTIC WONDERFUL staff and service. The food was superb!!!Hayley and Tom served us and they deserve a raise! Their service was outstanding especially Hayley’s. What a lovely lady.Good job Loch Fyne. 5***** all the way!

Lovely service but poor quality food. We came to visit on a set menu voucher given to us as a gift so wasn't expecting it to be amazing but definitely better than it was. The menu choices were great and similar to the main menu however the standard of food was really disappointing. I've eaten in the Bath and West London branches so had an idea what to expect but this didn't match up at all. Some of the bread was completely fresh whilst other bits were stale? The prawns starter was OK but tasted like the butter/oil has been watered down and was lacking in any real flavour. I then made the mistake of ordering mussels for my main and sadly it was worst mussels I've ever had. They were just floating around in murky water. Completely bland and watery. Lacked any flavour and was baffled how they could get it so wrong at a fish restaurant? Partner had Seabass which was good but dauphinois were again dry. Puddings were OK although the choc pud is described as a cake yet yet more of a dense cheesecake texture. It might just be Wokingham branch but I won't be returning unfortunately

I suspect that this restaurant has had some Covid-related struggles or staff changes.We live locally to the restaurant, and would love to love this place as it is super close to us. That said, it just isn't all that special.On our last visit, I tried their surf and turf special. Steak and grilled tiger prawns. The steak was done to the correct degree, but was tough, and hadn't been correctly trimmed. (I actually had a lump of gristle, and a vein in the meat.) The tiger prawns, well, I am no expect, but they didn't look like tiger prawns to me... just decently sized prawns. They definitely were not grilled, and tasted and had the texture of having been steamed.We finished with a Sticky Toffee pudding, which was OK.Ultimately... the service was good, but for the price being charged and the quality of the food that we received, I think we're done.

Great please to eat, excellent service. Food as always is spot on and delicious.

Lobster is very nice. But Oyster is a little bit not fresh. Chicken mango salad is quite small portion. But flavor is very nice, comes with smoky tast.

Went for a last lunch out before lock down 2 at Loch Fyne in Wokingham yesterday. I have to say, we were really impressed. It felt very COVID safe. It’s a lovely building and you can do your nhs track n trace check in at the door. Staff were wearing masks and the tables are suitably distanced with extra shielding up. The food was absolutely delicious, very fresh and the service was quick and very pleasant. I would definitely recommend it after lock down! They also do offers like Breakfasts you get a hot drink for £1 and then free refills. 50% off mains on a Monday night to 9pm. Tuesdays modules frite with bottomless mussels.. 😁All sounds good to me. My husband says the bar area at the front is good for business meetings too.

Amazing food, Amazing setting and great and friendly service by Marianna.. Great to have see you back and open. Best and freshest sea food you can get. Lovely outdoor seating area.. couldnt have had a better Monday!

They are really busy , the main plates are amazing and the drinks too. However , we order some olives as a starter and it looks like taken straight from supermarket's pot , they could seasoning it a bit or make a bit more different, they way that it comes doesn't worth the price paid for it. Also , they took too long to come to take our orders . But overall an amazing restaurant, the service is polite and friendly, fish is extremely fresh and delicious . I recommend try the mixed grill plate, or one of the daily fish options .All the best .
