New Peking Chef in Wokingham

Visited here twice now and have loved it both times! Price is fair compared to other places. We have collected both times and when we have arrived it is always ready. Food is always cooked well!This will be our new go-to!

We come here quite often for either Chinese of fish’n’chips and find it a little inconsistent (mainly the Chinese). Generally I’m happy and it’s nearby and convenient for us so we keep coming back.A number of times I’ve had some poor service from the young counter staff. Nothing too awful but utterly indifferent and you get the feeling that customers are an inconvenience.There’s a minimum charge of £10 for card. There’s a cash machine 30s walk away but if you just want some chips and only have your phone, you’re out of luck.

Tasty Chinese food cooked to order. Their salt and pepper squid is delicious. They also do quality fish and chips.

This is our preferred local takeaway, we love the variety on offer, the chips are always good and any dish that says “chilli” is just spicy enough for us (try the crispy chilli chicken - it’s good!) The chicken nuggets keep our fussy kids happy too. If you collect, the food is pretty much always ready within 10-15 minutes and there is loads of free easy parking

Just had house Special chow mein and only had a couple of small prawns in it ,no mixed meats and few bean sprouts not happy.

This was our first time using the new peking chef. And what a pleasant surprise a very good choice of food. After ordering we didn't wait long, even after driving home food was still hot. Plenty of food for us nicely cooked very tasty. Would we recommend this place?? Most definitely..

Quick delivery. Great menu choice - Fish & Chips, Peking, Cantonese, Malaysian, Thai & Vegetarian food. Chips can sometimes be a little anaemic but no more than any other fish & chip shop. I like my chips crispy and golden. Says it has a home delivery charge within 2.5 miles radius but we've not had it. Think it's a typo and it's outside of 2.5 miles.

Poor service. Staff more interested in their mobiles than customers. Grotty food. Chips have been fried in armpit sweat and vegetable spring rolls taste like off shellfish. Avoid!!!!! Oh and what really tops it off is that they charge extortionate prices.

The food was amazing and the service on point. Very friendly and customer centric atmosphere.I got a very unexpected surprise to see my cash tip be refunded on my account the next day, because the service was already included and charged on my card.+1 for outstanding integrity.I am definitely back!

So my first experience of a Chinese takeaway from Wokingham was dire!Food arrived luke warm and had to pay £1.50 to have the food delivered even though only 5 minutes away! Portion sizes were a joke! The amount of food ordered should of been enough to feed 3 adults with generous portions and have left overs has instead left guests hungrySo a phone call was made and we were told that this is how It will be from now on under the new management. Higher costs less food no free prawn crackers and a delivery charge! suffice to say won't be using this takeaway again and would definitely not recommend!Suggestions please for a good Chinese to use in the area
