Sultan Balti Palace in Wokingham

First time back since refurb. Food was amazing I had the mothers day 5 course meal it was spot on the pudding omg. Will definately be back.

The Sultan Indian restaurant has recently reopened after a refurbishment and they have taken opportunity to open a cafe downstairs where we ate today. We went for the wholesome curry and Indian bread option choosing chicken tikka masala. As can be seen on photo, it came with an interesting lettuce selection. It was very good and not too filling. Visited last Thursday, absolutely superb, food delicious and staff so attentive. Just went there again today as I was dreaming about the lamb curry 🤣. It’s a must!

Sultan once again opened there doors for wokingham customers, I am well impressed with new menu and deserts absolutely spot on.Sultan staff is always very welcoming and friendly.Don’t forget to try Dum pukht Biryani Delicious 😋Starters Samosa chaat and Hara Bhara Kebab was one of the best I ever had.

If you want good food then sultan is the place to go. The best Indian restaurant in Wokingham! authentic flavours and and fresh ingredients used. They Have more vegan options on menu which is an added bonus. The place itself is beautifully refurbished, Very welcoming staff. Nothing is too much trouble when you have fussy eaters in the family! Great place for lunch or dinner!

I was advised that the food from here was amazing so thought id give it a try. I can honestly say that this is the best takeaway I have had in Wokingham. The quality, spicing and meat were all amazing. We had Lamb in all dishes. Defo give it a try, it will be my regular. Well Done Sultan!

I visited the Sultan Balti for the first time for a little while as in the past it was always so good. Too my delight this restaurant as gone up a least a level. The owners have done a great renovation with a full redecoration. The exposed wooden beams of the restaurant look great and it makes for a high quality setting. The food menu has also changed with innovative and very tasty quality ingredients. The starters are all excellent. It is great that many items are sold per piece so you can make up your own mixed starter to enable the tasting of many of the dishes. Particularly good we’re the Tandoori King Prawns, Patiala Lamb Chops and Sultani Chicken Tikka. The main courses were equally tasty we particularly enjoyed the Chicken Chettinand and the Lamb Rogan Josh. You should not miss this restaurant the quality of the restaurant and food offering in my opinion is second to none in Wokingham.

Absolutely lovely food. Nicely spiced, marinated, cooked and presented well. Has just become my #1 curry house for Wokingham

Had the most amazing meal last night here at the newly refurbished Saltan Balti, Wokingham. The food was absolutely scrumptious and beautifully presented. The Front of House staff and waiters were exemplary and couldn’t do enough for us. 5 Star Service, Food and Surroundings. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

DISGUSTING FOOD. Had a tough day and thought we treat ourselves to Indian takeaway. I wish we did not as it ruined the rest of the evening. King prawn korma - something watery with too much sugar and not a hint of coconut, onion baji, sad licking flat something with too much flour and virtually no taste and cardboard tasting garlic naan , went straight to the bin . Lamb bhuna - meat hard and sauce watery, tarka dhal practically tasteless. Oh, yes, rice was ok ish. Worst ever Indian food I tried. And took over an hour to get . If you want to put 40 quid down the toilet and remain hungry - then this is the way to do it. Can’t set rating to MINUS 10 unfortunately.
