The Castle Inn in Wokingham

Brilliant food, and the owner and chef couldnt have been more welcoming. The burger is reason to visit alone. Great little gem. Now makes their own sausages on site and are probably the best you'll find in a pub in the UK.

Beautiful, historic building pub with delicious food and great service. Also has a very community feel as there was a local bonfire and carol singing when we were there.

Absolutely delicious food, every dish was fresh and well cooked. The nicest we have had since we have been able to eat out again after lockdown. The staff were very friendly and attentive.

Returned to The Castle Inn after many many years and found the atmosphere very nice indeed. The staff were very helpful and attentive. The food was plentiful and reasonable value for money. The Sunday roast was good and the stroganoff was okay as well. Would I return: yes I would to select from the varied menu.

Good service, good food and nice choice of ale. At the time I was there it was quite quiet and lacked atmosphere, I am sure this would be better in busier times. Overall enjoyed it very much and will be back.

Came to taste the new menu and as always it was superb! Still the best pub food in Berkshire! Great staff, atmosphere and food!

Love this little country pub. Just found it driving past and popped in for a quick pint. Will come back and maybe try the food as well. ❤️

Nice little pub and have been many times,.. but last night was very disapointing. Went for birthday meal.. and were the only ones inside. We were just told to take a seat at a table ... and then we waited... and waited.. there was no one in the bar at all. I even had to wander out to the back of the pub to get a beer.The menu was limited which I understand and the kebab meal I ordered was nice, but the kebab could have been hotter it was barely warm.Will go again and I hope it is better..
