Lovely hotel. Reasonably priced, good service, comfy rooms, great breakfast.

Superb traditional pub in a beautiful village location. Large pub garden with plenty of space if the weather is good or cosy bar area with a real wood fire. Serves some proper, well kept beers. Food menu looked good but didn't get the chance to sample it on this visit - will have to go back!

Was a lovely walk here along the Thames from Henley-on-Thames. Nice pub. Had a beer and then headed back. If you are looking for a beautiful walk and nice spot for lunch or a break, this is the spot!

Unfortunately not as friendly as it used to be. Sunday food stopped serving 10 minutes early, after we’d made an effort to get there. So a packet of crisps for lunch. Shame as it’s in a great location.

Disappointing food. The pub was fine as was the beer. The food on the other hand was not. We both ordered chicken curry and it was the strangest curry I have ever eaten. The chicken was somewhat sparse but the curry contained mixed vegetables!! Someone needs to have a word with the chef. Regrettably, will not be hurrying back

First visit to meet friends for lunch. Really friendly and fast, efficient service. Nice menu selection and walker/dog friendly. Will return.

This was a great find (courtesy of the OS mapping system) We did a circular walk from Henley to Hambledon Lock to this pub and then back to Henley.We stopped for lunch and a drink, filled baguettes plus hot tea/coffee and alcoholic drinks, all of which was really good, they even offered extra plates etc for sharing.The inside of the pub was very welcoming with a roaring open log fire and separate log burner, nicely cozy.Highly recommended 👍

Hate leaving a bad review as the staff are lovely and for a drink after a long walk its a good spot. But for the first time we had food here and by god it was dreadful. Ordered two pies, both were like sludge. Microwaved, slimey and one had a very odd smell. Other meal was ham egg and chips but the ham was off. Sadly the worst food I've had in a pub in recent memory.

Nice pub. Good value and nice hot food, I had a delicious steak pie with chips and peas and my friends had the burgers from the outside bbq, all great. Nice to be in the garden.

Quaint but lovely little oasis nestled in a corner of a small Berkshire village near to the Thames. Well-kept & well-served drinks, friendly service, and a pleasant & tranquil garden to the rear made for an enjoyable break to a riverside walk. (Clean loos too! 👍)I'll happily return when in the area.
